Full size goals needed.

Post by AldingaSC »

Hi, we are currently looking for a pair of full size portable goals (preferably on wheels). Was wondering if there are any clubs who happen to have or know anyone who has some they are looking to sell?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

This company seem pretty good, just not sure on prices as you'd have to contact them

We bought a new set this season, unless you can find some 2nd hand ones you will be looking at about $5,500 for the pair.

Yeah, we've been quoted around $5k. Just thought we'd ask around first.

It would be a good idea to speak to someone from East Adelaide SC (even go down there and take a look at their posts) - they also play on a footy oval. When we played them this year they had some wheel on wheel off posts that were as good as any we have seen.

They will also give you some guidance on marking out the pitch. They use a black line which does not interfere with the white Footy lines - worked really well even though we still beat them 1-12 on it.

We are looking forward to hopefully playing you guys in the southern cup after Christmas. Should be interesting as our team also came out of Seaford (U17's - 2012) as you may remember when we played you when most of you were still Seaford players earlier this year.

We are really pleased to see another southern team join the fray and sincerely wish you all the best.

Thank god you added that otherwise your response would have been useless...Pulled the whole thing together and I am sure your post will now help them immensely.

It would be worth getting in touch with some of the private schools in the inner Eastern suburbs. I did a job at one of them going back about six months and they were explaining that as a result of a yearly PE budget they were going to upgrade theirs and were just going to dismantle them and throw them in the back of the sports shed. This is the case for alot of the schools so perhaps a call to a few of them would be the way to start, then you can always upgrade from there.

I do warn you though make sure you get good quality ones if your going to spend the coin, the ones my juniors use at Modbury vista weren't cheap but are much better than some of the cheap and cheerful ones I have seen floating around.

I'm sure Aldinga will find goalposts during the off season but there could be another southern team looking for goal nets, corner flags, dug outs etc if they don't start paying there way
