The standard of soccer played today was above U12 standard. A privilege to play a team like Raiders that doesn't give up the ball and try's to play out from the back at all times. A very much different team to the 1st round and by far the best opposition we have played all year.

Thanks for you're comments Rehagels Assistant the boys have worked really hard all year, training x 3 nights a week has helped them to improve there passing and possession game !
We have really tried not to focus on winning the game at all costs ,only how to play the game on the floor with quick passing and movement and playing as a team ,the one big thing is we have backed our players to play this way and not to be scared if they make a mistake !
A big credit to you're team they have been the bench mark all year well done its a pleasure to play you guys !

I coach Campbelltowns under 12 JSL team......we go about things exactly the same way champ, our kids have improved big time this year under the same philosophy....results mean absolutely nothing, we went down 1-2 to Vipers yesterday but our quick passing and movement was fantastic. Goals came from defensive errors trying to play from the back, under Richie and Michael Mattrich's total football mentality and the coaches to implement and back it up, these kids can't go wrong.....well done to Cumberland also for a solid year.Push It wrote:Rehagel's Assistant wrote:Push It wrote:U/12 JSL Raiders 1 Cumberland 1 great game good to watch some great football between two good sides![]()

Good to hear I know your jpl team has the same
mentality and a decent coach aswell . Hopefully more
Coaches out there will do the same . I've always
said play the right way and the results will come
when it counts ( not in under12s )

Re: results 1/9
Dumb question probably, but why is anyone interested in results of junior matches? If next season there is no points, no promotion, no relegation and no league ladder, presumably threads such as this one will be a thing of the past?
And guess that means no league champions medals for junior players from 2014 onwards either? :?
