Phew! What ikon & Bomber said.

Always tense, but relief thank goodness. A sublime chip by Bresh, clearing the defenders so Kennedy could bury it.

Bresh the pick of our midfielders. We were outplayed by Iraq for long periods in the middle.

We've got some work to do before next year, but the important thing for the profile of the game in this country is we're gonna be at the main table @ Brazil 2014.

Everyone at the Halfway went up when Jesus put that header away.....Frustrating that we tried to play the way we did in the wet but got the win against a side that was pushing for a draw.

Loved...Loved...Loved Holgers comment about "time wasting and Cheating"....Farrrkkin shit tactics that is a scurge on the game.

I kept going on at my missus during the last 20 minutes, "Put faaarken Josh Kennedy on" to which my missus responded "is that the guy who scored against NZ in the pouring rain at Adelaide Oval a couple years ago"? "Yes" I replied getting frustrated, then when I saw him finally come on (didnt think it would be in place of Cahill) but I had a good feeling that he would not only score, but it would be a header from a Bresciano cross! Only stopped dancing this morning!

I think every one of Osieck's substitutions were right as each changed the tempo of the game back in our favour.

Although the first one, Rojic or whatever his name is, quickly disappeared into the crowd.

As for Cahill, he wasn't exactly getting much in the way of service and was getting more and more ineffective as the game wore on - he is not an out and out attacker and could have benefited from having someone like Kennedy to play off.

Iraq played an excellent game and demonstrated their depth at all levels. I think their U/20 team is going to be very difficult to beat.

Their No. 11 is going to be a huge talent as long as he stops his falling down dead at the slightest touch and whining every time he lose the ball to an opponent.
The older I get the better I was.
