I love what Piers Morgan wrote on his twitter "The team believes that coming 4th is winning a trophy. ITS NOT"Ian_Wright wrote:Boring.

Dunno, we're getting closer and closer as far as I can see. Your lot don't look like winning anything and Wenger still won't spend any money, so I'm more worried about Liverpool overtaking us than you staying ahead.haywood djablowme wrote:Just like that shadow the Spuds are in is getting longer & longer CyrilNice One Cyril wrote:A word that's long been associated with the GoonsIan_Wright wrote:Boring.

Yes I admit, you might be getting closer, but you are still in our shadow & have been now since 1995Nice One Cyril wrote: Dunno, we're getting closer and closer as far as I can see. & I reckon Wenger will spend more than AVB this summer.. cause all your $$ is going to go on Bale to try to convince him to stay.

If you honestly think that, you are clueless. Lets just wait and see what players Arsenal sign before the season and who Tottenham sign. Im very confident that the gap will once again grow.

Come on Cyril 18 years & counting & you still think you've gotta chance of overtaking us... you guys had your chance 10pts in front last season & 7pts this year but FAILED!! & with no dodgy Lasagna to blame

& I would be more worried of the Pool catching you once Bale departs

How many premier leagues have the Jew boys won........Keep on dreaming and hoping you crack it one day. Maybe celebrating the millions in tv rights and the fact the yids were a few points clear early in the year and sprouting the tide had turned and they were the better side blah blah blah, typical spurs crud.Doesnt get much better than pipping the spuds yet again......Le King wrote:Only thing missing yday from Arsenals changeroom celebrations was the trophy..... for 4th

Re: Bye Bye Gareth
Piers Morgan is one of the few Arsenal fans who actually make a point.
"Arsenal fans abusing me for not celebrating coming 4th are part of the problem. They've been traduced into settling for mediocrity."
"No Manchester United team would ever celebrate coming 4th. That's the difference."
A few years ago Arsenal were always title contenders but in recent years champions league qualification is the main goal. Now you're just using the "we finished higher than spurs" line. Back in the early 2000s that was always a given.

You really dont get it do you. Yes we love finishing above Spurs and clearly you hate it
Please do not back your argument up with Piers Morgan Tweets, please, its embarrassing. Also i have never said ive settled for fourth, i want Arsenal to win trophies. However im pretty sure coming 4th and trophyless is better than coming 5th and trophyless.

And if Piers cant support his team through the trophyless seasons then he probably should not support them at all

Yes, it is a sign of the times. We are nowhere near Manchester United and as a fan we have anow accepted this since the construction of the Emirates .Yet to finish below Spurs — and end up with a Europa League spot — would have been horrendous for everyone connected with Arsenal. The only reason we celebrate coming 4th is because of the rivalry! If it was against Villa, West Brom or even Liverpool the boys wouldn't be jumping around in the dressing room like that, but again we finished above our neighbors & not just for the players but for us fans that another year of gloating to the yids.
All you spuds laugh at us year after year for selling our best players & using the Emirates as an excuse, yet you fail year after year to finish above us, so what's your excuse?
We are the club with the fourth- highest wage bill so we have finished exactly where we should have - fourth. That's reality!

Once again, seems we have another one who cant grasp it. You do realise Arsenal vs Tottenham is a fierce rivalry, yes?? As Arsenal fans we f%cking love to finish above them. Of course we want trophies and yes we have been falling behind. Is it good enough....NO, but im not going to sit here and moan, im going to lap up the fact we did manage to qualify for the Champions league and above Tottenham and hope for better next season.
Re: Bye Bye Gareth
I get it, your happy provided you finish above your most fierce rivals, but it doesn't mean I agree.Ian_Wright wrote:getborn wrote:I'm 100% sure he will continue to support them regardless, but unlike many, he's not content with simply finishing higher than Spurs.........& only just.Ian_Wright wrote:And if Piers cant support his team through the trophyless seasons then he probably should not support them at all![]()

Just out of interest, how many of you Arsenal fans who go on about this fierce historic rivalry with Spurs, are actually from North London, or anywhere in London for that matter?
Not that it would make you less of a fan if you're not, but you really need to live and /or work in the area to understand it properly.

Born in London, lived 90% of my life in England and will be back there next year for another 6 months with work. Lived in Enfield for around 6 years whilst i was working in Islington. Outside of that i lived in Woolwich where i was born and also in Kent for the last few years before i came to Aus.

Re: Bye Bye Gareth
Similar, born in North London and lived there for 45 years. Worked for 25 years in Islington, Hackney, Canonbury and remember well driving down the Holloway Road with all the wanky Arsenal flags and scarves hanging out the windows of the flats. I had the misfortune to work with about 30 Goons as well.Ian_Wright wrote:Born in London, lived 90% of my life in England and will be back there next year for another 6 months with work. PS. Enfield is Spurs territory

I actually rate them both. Mertesacker got alot of stick when he 1st started (which he rightfully deserved) Think he has come good and deserves to be in starting 11.

With the way football is broadcasted around the world on TV & in the press, I dont believe you need to live or work in London to understand the rivalry. There is enough Yids here in our own community to feel the rivalry.. isnt that right Mr Cook

Nice defelection thou Cyril, now put your feet up & enjoy reading the summer papers about Bye Bye Gareth
