This will be interesting.

He should have beaten away the first goal at Norwich rather than back into the danger zone, but we were up 3-0 at that stage. Could have and should have done better for Carzola's goal at the near post.

By my count that's two perhaps mistakes all season.

The way people carry it's like he's done an Al-Halsi every second week....
He's been very average this season. Even De Gea has saved Uniteds ass this season more then Pepe has liverpools

Are you forgetting his keeping skills against hearts? His blunder nearly knocked you out if the Europa league until Suarez saved his ass

Reina v De Gea. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

How many trophies has Did Gea won at UTD? What can he tell his grand kids about season 11/12.

He can tell the story of sending the Anfield crowd into raptures flap after flap in the FA CUP match...he should remember it...his last one in England!!!

I'm willing to bet my house De Gea wins a Premier League winners medal before anyone playing at Liverpool does

TBH I wouldn’t know what De Gea’s done, sorry I don’t watch opposition teams games religiously like everyone on here seems to watch every single minute of Liverpool’s.

Are you really that short sighted that you think De Gea won't improve and become a top keeper? It would be interesting to see what Reina was like at the same age.

De Gea will play most of the games this season and will continue to improve on the areas of his game that need work.

Again, if this is all you've got as a comeback when people ridicule King Kenny's comedy signings then you are just straw clutching as usual

Aye? Maybe you need to go specsavers to see who brought in the Reina v De Gea comparisons on the first place!

De Gea is a brilliant shot stopper.

Awful at commanding his area though. Crosses into the box must give United fans nightmares when he's on the pitch. He's still going to be one hell of a 'keeper with time, but right now Lindegaard is rightly getting chances.

I liked the headline in one of the UK papers about Rafa:
Only 22 chopping days until Christmas
It would be funny if his Christmas present from Roman was the bullet
"The game is about glory, doing things in style and with a flourish, going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."

With UTDs defence any keeper will get lots of chances to prove themself.

Anyhow this thread is about Rafa?

what shocking season? this is press hyperbole.
he's been beaten at his near post a couple of times and had a howler against Hearts all of which were inconsequential in the result anyway. hasn't cost us any points this year. but if you hadnt have known any better youd think it's been like Massimo Taibi.

The Straw clutcher brought De Gea into it...

I think Lindegaard might get dropped after Saturday's performance, he was more indecisive then De Gea even

You really do need to go to specsavers.

hoy......
this is about De Gea, no? Which is about as relevant about Enrique, Downing and Suarez signings in a Rafa topic.

But where did the De Gea v Reina comparison start?

I don't understand? I was just questioning why the straw clutcher brought De Gea into the argument when I think he's gonna turn out to be a decent keeper..

Chelsea into the world club final....torres scoring again and Luiz looking sharp in the midfield!
This Rafa bloke is a waste of space hey!

I do hope if they win the damn thing the Rafa Out placards are still visible
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

Nonsense 'tournament' where the only real match they play is the 'final'. Ain't worth squat.

I have always said though that, like Bale, Luiz is a horrible defender and would be much better in midfield. Glen Johnson is almost in that category as well, whereas Cashley is actually a decent defender.
