Re: Suarez tag unfair - Barnes
Having watched the game again last night.
I feel it is time to cash in on him. Sell him in January with Carroll and spend some 60m on 3 top forwards. We would get 35m for him, 15m for Carroll and should have 10m to spend from our own revenues. With 60m we would at least 2 top players, 3 if we spend wisely.

Which players did you have in mind? I wouldn't mind a good laugh.NickyTanner wrote:Having watched the game again last night.

Serious question, which top forwards worth 20 mil are going to want to join Liverpool?NickyTanner wrote:Having watched the game again last night.

Re: Suarez tag unfair - Barnes
And to be honest I'm not sure you'd get 35 mil for Suarez. Who in their right mind is gonna fork out 35 million quid for a striker that hardly ever scores?

And who the hell is going to be stupid enough to spend 15mil on Andy Carroll?

If that were to be the case (I'd rather we kept Suarez), I'd throw a lot at Soldado.NickyTanner wrote:Having watched the game again last night.

Llorente has fallen out with his manager at Bilbao, i reckon he'd compliment Suarez well. If nothing else, he offers a Plan B.

Re: Suarez tag unfair - Barnes
We had said plan B, Rodgers loaned him out. Can't see us going for Llorente, as good as he is.Litmanen wrote:BowTiesAreCool wrote:If that were to be the case (I'd rather we kept Suarez), I'd throw a lot at Soldado.NickyTanner wrote:Having watched the game again last night.

Soldado would be great. Villa would be even better.

What, like "Oh Luis, you're the best player I've ever played with, you're a footballing God", or something like that?Litmanen wrote:BowTiesAreCool wrote:If that were to be the case (I'd rather we kept Suarez), I'd throw a lot at Soldado.NickyTanner wrote:Having watched the game again last night.

He needs to invest in a Rooney shirt if he's going to try that. At least then everyone will just laugh it off because he's the only decent striker England have.

Suarez has nothing on Barcelona...

Love the cheeky wanker motion by the keeper toward the end...

Is Bale considered a foreigner now?
It's all too confusing*

Re: Suarez tag unfair - Barnes
I had to laugh at this report from a Stoke player. The irony of his words was obviously lost on him.

So now we know what Huth was trying to doMichael Kightly wrote:But Kightly continued the attack on Suarez by telling The Sentinel: 'When you get a little touch and he is screaming like he has broken his leg you do think "is he hurt?" but nine times out of 10, he's not. 'It is something we are trying to get out of the game. Referees have to try to stamp down on it.

Re: Suarez tag unfair - Barnes
Suarez has been named ‘Worst diver in the Premier League’ by an online poll of Sun readers.
He claimed 62 per cent of the 23,323 votes — more than the rest of the diving candidates combined.
Second place was claimed by United’s Ashley Young with 24 per cent, with Spurs winger Gareth Bale third thanks to a 10 per cent share.
United’s Javier Hernandez came fourth with two per cent while Chelsea duo David Luiz and Oscar, plus West Ham’s Andy Carroll, got one per cent.

It's not just us not buying the paper, it's not reading it
GIAE, it's amazing how some people who think they know UK football really don't have a clue
And after-all the boycott has only been going for 23 years.....
