Adelaide Olympic
Players coming back?
Former coach stating theyll be in prems next year
Worse thing that could happen
Please FFSA, do the right thing and make them build from juniors and up
The Prems and Reserves league has been really good.
do not change a thing!

Re: Adelaide Olympic
Worst thing can happen is another "recruitathon" like Uni last year. No one needs Olympic to come back and re-steal 30 players from other clubs. I seriously think FFSA should think of some ways (contracts? rules?) to help clubs protecting their players and prevent others just going around and poach everybody. I think this total lack of loyalty is one of the worst things in the girls league.
Re: Adelaide Olympic
anything can happen with FFSA , isnt the rule that a new club needs to have 50% new players on list?

Re: Adelaide Olympic
The club isn't new they just didn't field any teams this year. Also don't forget that Jaguars where going to "merge" with Olympic so they could have junior teams this year.

A merger with the Jaguars? I think the Jaguars said no to that. Good luck to Olympic, with out the Jaguars Juniors.
this is funny Ray Mysterio

With the FFSA still looking to restructure, it would make sense to put them back up near the top if there was a State League.John Cena wrote:Rey Mysterio wrote:The club isn't new they just didn't field any teams this year. I think if the FFSA walked Olympic to the higher divisions, there might be hiccups again from other clubs that were left with no choice but to start from the lower divisions.
Re: Adelaide Olympic
Olympic as a club ceased to exist, so if they start up for next season they should be treated as a new club.
This would mean starting off in the lower divisions and working their way up, this might be benificial for the club in the long run.

The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.

Re: Adelaide Olympic
Will ffsa allow clubs with no reserves again in the prems or will there be better rules now? They had a full year to do there homework, maybe now they are more prepared...I'm glad Olympic want to come back but yeah there are a few things to sort out. It's not very good to just let anyone walk back in the top comp...

Re: Adelaide Olympic
I'm not saying throw them back right up the top, but consider that they've got this label of 'social' and label of 'elite' and they may as well consider where they place teams before placing elite players in a social comp and managing it via ridiculous player quota rules on a per-game basis.Easy Tiger wrote:Will ffsa allow clubs with no reserves again in the prems or will there be better rules now? I don't know what the juniors situation is so I can't comment on that.
My solution would be similar to the men's game - Prems, Ressies and a re-instated State League for 'elite', and then Divs 1 through to Collegiates as the 'amateur' stem. If teams wish to enter Prems, they start in the State League, and that becomes the div that fluctuates.

They allowed Athelstone to stop for a year, then re-enter at Div3Lucas Leiva wrote:What, like PHU?M@rvin wrote:Olympic as a club ceased to exist, so if they start up for next season they should be treated as a new club.

Where are the players coming from anyway? Is there going to be a big exodus from one of the current elite clubs? How will this affect them?

Re: Adelaide Olympic
If the talk is old players coming back to Olympic, the only club materially impacted is Adelaide Uni, considering they have more than half of their starting 11 poached from Olympic.themagnet wrote:They allowed Athelstone to stop for a year, then re-enter at Div3Lucas Leiva wrote:What, like PHU?M@rvin wrote:Olympic as a club ceased to exist, so if they start up for next season they should be treated as a new club.

Loyalty doesn't exist in your leage ladies.
Its a blight upon your scene and indicative that it ain't a sertious sport for 95% of you
It is the most transient women’s sport ever known. Things now are no different to where they were a decade ago. Players move with their gal pals. They move to a lesser club so they get more time on the pitch or get to lay prems.
So when you talk about loyalty, please don’t use it within this sport.
