White City Fc set to join Amatuer League 2007

Apparently White City FC is joining the 2007 league in Div 5. I got a call from the organisers this week. Should be a craka side.

Many players from Lion to walk back to woodville to play for the red bloe and white.

Early prediction will win Div 5 but training will be a struggle for most of the boys.

Who are the major signings Rusmir, Dobric, Klajic??? Could Pappas make an appearence??? Will Nick the goalkeeper from the early 90's make a comeback???

I have heard Koufalas, Zelka, Vukajlovic and a few young corporate tycoons who gave up because of studies etc. Only matic/rusmir the rest are Lion and interstate. Nik may play reserves as a player.

They did and did very well too. By the looks of it they will have a very good team.

Any info on what day they will be playing, saturday or sunday

How many players returning from USC Lion??

Lion might struggle if their Serb players leave.

I would say 6-7 players will come across more so for the atmosphere.

We did come in a few years ago in div7 got promoted to Div3 and shut up shop. Training was a problem.

Lion was with us in Div 5 at one stage and many of our players migrated there.

Bill last I heard was at Saints.

Zelka told me that he was goin to Saints so I assumed that Chris was as well.

Of course Koufalas, Zelka and Pero would all look good in a Gryphons shirt.

Are you guys talking about Alan Rusmir?

Alan has teriffic skill but didnt train much last season and therefore his fitness suffers. He wasnt in the starting XI for much of last season, but definately had the skill to be. He would dominate in Div 5.

Dont worry about Lion, we've got some young talent coming out this year. A few U/23's and fringe players from Super League clubs have expressed their interest. Im not so sure that there will be too many players making the switch anyhow.
