WOW ! This could be a first ......I have heard from the refs , that All A-Grade and B-Grade Cup Games will have Official Refs and 2 x Official assistant's ......Far Out - I wonder if they They will be appointing 4th officials also next round ! (ha! ha! ) .

If thats true thats a good step in the right direction for the SAASL. It has been good having official referees for B grade games and 3 officials for the first team games this season.

Now just to keep the new referees interested.

Well done to the saasl if that's true - what would really be great is to see these match officials invited into the clubrooms after the games. We may not always agree with them, it is now time for ALL players to give All the match officials the respect they deserve.
Getting them is only the first step, keeping them is the next step.
