Its not fair to blame the FFA. Each state has bid for it Melb, Syd, Bris made actual offers. SA as per usual sat back and waited for the FFA to make us an offer. So I wouldn't hold your breath. The only hope we have is that someone working in the government wakes up and grows a brain, unlikely.

I agree but sadly the government would rather build a $500m stadium for 2 sports only.Stuckey wrote:Its not fair to blame the FFA. Each state has bid for it Melb, Syd, Bris made actual offers. Now you can see why SA aren't getting any games. They aren't funding the tournament.
http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/241159,l ... isers.aspxAsia is the fastest growing football market in the world and the AFC Asian Cup 2015 is expected to reach a television audience of about 2.5 billion people.
The AFC Asian Cup 2015 is being jointly-funded by the Australian Government and the Queensland, NSW, ACT and Victorian governments.
Matches in the tournament will be played in Victoria, NSW, ACT and Queensland.

Or, they aren't funding the tournament because they aren't getting games.Stuckey wrote:Now you can see why SA aren't getting any games. They aren't funding the tournament.

Its the old chicken or egg story. But its a classic SA move. Sit back and hope the events come to us. Shock horror they get picked up by the proactive eastern states! Its the F1 all over again.Bacon888 wrote:Or, they aren't funding the tournament because they aren't getting games.Stuckey wrote:Now you can see why SA aren't getting any games.
