Fingers crossed young Alex Baxter isn't too bad. Taken to hopsital with a suspected broken leg/ankle! Good young lad too.

C team

East 0 - Fulham 4

1-0 at half time and a few missed chances but 2nd half Fulham finished better and the goals went in.

B team

East 1 - Fulham 2

Fulham 1 up early but East got an equaliser b4 half time.

2nd half East had a penalty saved and were made to rue it when Fulham got a 2nd with a well taken free kick and held on.

A team

East 1 - Fulham 2

Some great passages of play by Fulham during this game - some top shelf movement of the ball.

0-0 at half time but Fulham had hit the post and also missed anothet sitter.

2nd half super sub Yianni scored 1 but East got 1 back thru Saggs with a header from a set piece.

2nd goal well taken by pocket dynamo Tony Barbaro who now has 3 in 4 games.

East can't complain - Fulham deserved the points and had what would have been 1 of the goals of the season by Tony B thru some great build up and passing saved by a top draw save from the East keeper.

Only sad note was a hammy done by Yianni which will c him out for a while.

And on a final note to East Boy as u saw today although we would luv to have Petch in the squad we r much more than just him - a lot of talent thru the team which is only just starting to gel.

Trimmers 4, scott lyndsay 1 (maybe) and I dont know. Pontian was a different side after half time, gave the downs some curry up until then. Special mention to Phil the jockey (pontian left back ) gave the downs what for at 1 all then his horse riding celebration came back to haunt him. Cold as, beers were even colder. Even got thier marshall fired up at the end spittle from both corners of the mouth, good to see....

Gee you talk it up Bigpond. Would've been one of the goals of the season    classic
Your guys took their chances well (one our keeper dropped right in front of goal).
We can complain...... we didnt win.
It was a fairly even game, where we were poor with our passing going into the final third. We certainly had our chances too.

On a final not I never once said you are nothing without him. Rate him highly as a player and any team would miss such a player. I dont think you have any player of that quality that has replaced him.

Like I said we would still love to hav Petch in the squad but guys who have played at 1st team Super League level with Adelaide City like Adam Osman and Michael Shennick are not bad replacements to go along with the other 2 or 3 young guys that have been brought into the team this season.

Pontian Eagles 1 (A.Matteo 38') Elizabeth Downs 6 (N. Day 16' , J. Trimboli 56' , 61' , 75' , 90' , S. Hughes 88' hdr ) .
1 - 1 at half time , It was a really close game in the first half .....then it was the Jason Trimboli show in the 2nd half .
Why did Trimmers never make it at NSL / A-League level ?????

dubious free kick awarded to Inter on the edge of their defensive 18 yard box and was some push and shove between Jarrad Noel and an Inter player, players came in and was just a big pack, as it was almost settled down Inters keeper grabbed Joel Miller in a headlock and they both dropped too the ground. Referee then sent the keeper and Miller off.
