hopefully it is cleared up sooner rather than later.... we were suposed to play Bosna this week!

Given the leagues stobborness to fix the problems with the hole in Saturday Div 2 I don't like your chances unless a Div 3 team 'volunteers' to go up which just forces the problem down one level....

They have a right to appeal.

"The BOSNA SC was advised of this decision on 5th April 2012 and under the Constitution, is entitled to lodge an Appeal within 7 days of being informed of this decision.

If Bosna are suspended for one season then they along with one other Division 2 side should be relegated to Division 3, or along with 2 other sides....3 down..3 up for 2013. !!!

Correct. Bosna fixtures will be "Postponed" until a decision on their appeal is made.

Personally I thought they had cleaned up their act a bit last year, wasn't at the incident this year but seems very serious

Yeah the league have the balls to kick em out but they don't have the balls to order Lion back into Div 2 where they should be given that they:

(a) didn't finish low enough to be relegated in 2011;
(b) have enough players for 2 teams and;
(c) pre-season results suggests those 2 teams are strong enough for the division...

And as a result the other 9 teams suffer with 2 byes which in some cases will lead to 2 consecutive weekends missed if elimiated from the cup!

Love the trips down south and could have had a lot of fun heading up Pirie way as well. Unfortunately due to the state of the C team league though we are home to Westies when the As and Bs are away to Sthn Knights so no bus trip for me this year

It's amazing how many C teams don't match up with their A's and B's home games. If my clubs A's and B's fixtures had of been home then away week in week out then every one of our home games would have had all 3 teams....but for some crazy reason there is 2 home games in a row in the first half of the season and 2 away games in the second.....this shouldn't happen in an even numbered team league.

Considering that there are other clubs with Greek Orthodox ties involved in Sunday Football why is it only your club making a big issue of it . Plus given your club has been in the SAASL for less then 10 years but other clubs have been around longer have accepted that religious days that mean alot to them but also understand that the League diary had been set.
Why is it other years your club has been able to play on Saturday instead of Sunday to accommodate your religious belief's yet this year it hasn't happened.
How can Salisbury Florina call your bluff when since the change of program fixtures have always stated they were playing.
How come your club told your players that they had no game due to Orthodox Easter yet the other team that you were originally scheduled to play had never agreed to the postponement ??
Can I ask are your Federation juniors playing on Sunday ??????

We of the Coptic Orthodox faith are a group with a large number of our members who are truly devoted to their faith (inside and outside the church), but having said that we still all accept the league fixtures for what they are even in previous cup rounds when we drew Sunday opposition away we'd have our Priest start and finish the Sunday liturgy early so our players can attend and still play.

We have an early morning church service that most of our members will attend on Saturday which ends at 6am and have cup games at 12:30 and 2:30, yet we are fielding near full strength squads for both games and didnt ask the league or opposition for a shift in KO time....

Not here to brag, just to say both can be done if the will is there...
