Downs v Wanderers

B's 1-2
A's 9-3

Great hit out, mixed results today. B's had plenty of chances but couldn't put the ball away, Wanderers only had a few but they took their chances.

A's was a different story, with Wanderers scoring first with a great 35yrd strike. This seemed to wake the Downs up, they could have easily had a bag more too.

Adelaide Titans VS Elizabeth Grove

A's: 2 - 3

Grove could of had players missing (dont know their squad at all do coudnt say) but Titans (3-4 players missing also) with large majority of chances including 2 crossbars.
Great hit out for both teams

B's: 3 - 0 (I think)

C's: not sure

Great day out at Frank Mitchell Park.

We were able to keep our solid pre season efforts on the right course with the first team convincing winners against macedonia.

Although withot inside info they looked like they were missing some as there were about 5 or 6 who played in both the ressies and the first team.

This definately played a factor in the As because of the macos lack of fresh legs allowed our guys to utilise the big ground with flowing runs down both wings and several goals from crosses.

All in all great day!

Bring on the raptors next sunday!

RB Eagles v West Beach

A's - 3-3 (disappointing for Eagles, we missed a penalty and were 3-1 up, but alas the guys played very well, great hit-out versus a good team)
B's - 0-4
C's - 1-6 (or 7) One of those I think

Good day out for the Westies. They have definitely been putting their hands up as contenders for div 2.

Saw about 30 mins of this game and the defending was terrible from both sides. Both keepers played like they were afraid of the ball!

Amazing to see a guy like Popovic take the absolute piss out of the Downs defence when he is well into his fifties.

Tea Tree Gully V Ingle Farm

A's 1-6
Good game in all. Gully have some good young kids who applied a lot of pressure. They have 2-3 players with a bit of skill and grunt which should see them do well in Div 3. Fatigue kicked in for Gully in the second half. For us, some great build ups of play but still some work to be done to improve.

B's 1-5
Same as A's really, Gully with lots of effort but lacked a little in glass. A very different looking reserves side for us at the moment. We missed a lot of chances but credit to Gully, they put us under a lot of pressure.

35's 3-2
Didn't see the game but from all reports, was a good hit out on a warm, hung over day.

Thanks to Gully for the games. Love where the pitch is and the new clubrooms. One suggestion, get a bar closer to the pitch. Miss too much of the game going for a drink.

IFJSC Coaches V C's 5-1
A lot of players missing for us and it was an even match except for one bloke who was very good. Great event and will try to make it an annual occurance

IFJSC U18's V Development Squad 2-3
Didn't see the game but a good run out for both squads with some exciting juniors putting on a good display

Thanks to the Juniors for hosting the event. There is a much closer connection between the two clubs and more events like yesterday will help create a fantastic link between the two clus.
