DEXTER BLACKSTOCK has branded Derby fans a 'disgrace' for singing sick songs about the death of Nottingham Forest chairman Nigel Doughty.
Derby supporters chanted "Where's your chairman gone" during Tuesday's East Midlands derby at Pride Park.
Forest lost 1-0 but their striker Blackstock admitted on Twitter he was furious with the Rams fans.
Derby were quick to apologise yesterday — but Blackstock tweeted: "Everyone to do with Derby County should be ashamed of their fans singing 'where's your chairman gone?' Absolute disgrace!"
Forest owner Doughty died suddenly, aged just 54, at his home last month.
Doughty ploughed millions into the club since saving them from administration in 1999. Forest boss Steve Cotterill was also shocked and wanted to silence Derby fans with a goal.
He said: "It would've been nice if we had put one in the net as that would've been the right answer to what we heard.
"You can't stop people making chants. But what I do know is Nigel was fantastic for this club."
Derby released a statement, which said: "We wish to apologise to the family of Nigel Doughty, Nottingham Forest and all fans in attendance at Pride Park for the behaviour of a small group of people at the game."
Not the best of taste by a minority of Derby's supporters - but you can't legislate for bad taste.
