the lack of a response to this post is interesting

it seems both the Downs and Parafield will now have to forego any form of complaint about onfield foul play.
their answer to it is simply to pump up your machismo and HTFU so we should expect no complaints from them on this forum at all this season regarding elbows, bad tackles, punches etc
we shall see i guess..

Vertu? What's that mean in English? I'm guessing "The Knob".

There is a total of about four people from Gardens and the Downs who have made a comment on this subject out of a possible 200 odd members between the two clubs and from that you conclude it must represent the view of the entire club. YOU KNOB.

Robin Friday, can you please explain to me and the Football news faithful of the supposed change in offside rule that has been interpreted by yourself, other referees and official linesman of the Playford Cup and none of them can show any consistency. Had a fairly robust discussion with a couple of linesmen of the same game and both gave opposite ends of the spectrum accounts of how the law was to be interpreted. " Did he touch it, was he interfering, did he attempt to go for it".
Might I suggest you approach your superiors and have it layed out to you all, that you all follow a common rule.
Players from both teams need to know from the out set how the rule is to be interpreted and so do the spectators. God knows that if we all understand the interpretation then there is no excuse for some of the abuse and confusion from beyond the white line, let alone those 22 that are trying to play the game.

With the heat being forecast for 38 on Sunday, will the Playford Cup finals be played on Sunday or will the finals be moved to Friday night like last year?

not sure if it will be as bad as this... current weather forecast is 36 with a 90% chance of rain... monday is 29 and showers with a 60% chance of rain. I think if the rain comes in then the temp won't get up to 36. Hope so anyway

Can anyone confirm this?
If this is the case, does that mean all other games are a "no-go"?

My understanding is yes, it will be posted on the Elizabeth Vale club web site and on Footballnews today i have been told.
And to the second part off your question Yes.
The same thing happened last year, Final was held on the Friday night due to the heat.
