Re: Question Re: Stevie G....
What's that United song about him from about 7 or 8 years ago?
Pretty funny that it's trying to be a wind up but it's actually a massive compliment. Confused.

Id have thought it's pretty obvious but also I undertand you lot would struggle with it.
He's from liverpool, he's a liverpool supporter, he wants to play for liverpool. In these days of mercenaries it's a breath of fresh air.

Agreed. It's not necessarily been the best for his career (but it might have been) but at least he's loyal.God is an Englishman wrote:Id have thought it's pretty obvious but also I undertand you lot would struggle with it.

I'm not sure what the proper measure is for being a big club but, whatever yardstick you choose, you have to be a complete knob (or a Manc - but that might be the same thing

Well when you rebuff a move away the next logical step is to....sign a new contract with the team your staying with.
Chelsea were offering 200k a week. Would have made him the highest paid player in the league....and he turned his back on that for more money at Liverpool.
Doesn't fit your angle hey. Are you dissapoint?

Re: Question Re: Stevie G....
no different, how many players in the league these days have only played for one club. I would be pretty sure that of all the current players to have played in the premier league for more than 10 years, the amount of 1 club players would be single figures.El Capitano wrote:Please... Re: Question Re: Stevie G....
staying in Liverpool gives him the freedom to go out and "have fun" and not have to answer for his actions nor face the consequences of them
big fish small pond and can probably last another 3 or 4 more years doing not much on the pitch ... just as he has done in the last couple
