Re: Capello quits?
Yup, he's gone. Bad timing but he never really did it for me despite his great record elsewhere.

Re: Capello quits?
today is a GREAT day and i've only just got out of bed. Thank fuck this dick isn't there anymore.
Re: Capello quits?
Not really a big deal. As I said its just England sabotaging themselves as usual.

Re: Capello quits?
Good on him.
FA undermined his authority by deciding to strip JT of the captaincy.
Whatever happened to innocent until proven guity?
The FA are a shambles.

Can't see them offering it to anybody else can you?Ian_Wright wrote:Please be Harry Redknapp.
Hopefully they can reach an agreement that he'll do both jobs until the end of the season, it's not as if England have loads of games before then, and then take them to the Euros.
Maybe they'll offer it to Arsene, he's obviously unhappy and is a great manager. Struggles to win things at the moment though

We need some heart on the sleeve footy, 4-4-2, kick it long to the target man stuff.
That's all the cliches I can think of for now.

What about the "Italian leaving a sinking ship" one?

They have never done that before!Litmanen wrote:Juventino wrote:We need some heart on the sleeve footy, 4-4-2, kick it long to the target man stuff.

Not his fault he 'slipped' into a life-boat. These miraculous coincidences can occur you know.
Re: Capello quits?
No captain.
No coach.
Exactly 4 months before Euros.
LOL
Hope Hodgson gets the gig so the world can see the standard of English managers.

Unfortunately they were a bit too late for O'Neill.
Oh well there's nothing wrong with having an illiterate as your coach, at least he'll speak their language !

Re: Capello quits?
Just putting this out there.....
Jose Mourinho said he wants to coach in England again
Jose Mourinho stated when leaving Porto "I wan't to win everything there is to win"
Jose Mourinho has won:
The Primera League x 2
Champions League
European Club Cup
The Premier League x 2
FA Cup
The Serie A x 2
Coppa Italia
Copa Del Rey
He is now 7 points clear at the top of the La Liga
I guess there is really on two things left to win (and anyone who mentions SPL, bundesliga or Ligue 1...... DOC can go jump)
Could he be the next man to take on the job that no one wants??

Re: Capello quits?
Good enough for meMartin O'Neill wrote:"I'm terribly disappointed. He's earned the opportunity, having taken his team through to the Euros, to go whole distance. I'm disappointed it's come to this. Fabio is not only a fantastic manager but he's earned the opportunity and if he has reigned over the [John Terry] incident it's very sad. If there's anyone to succeed Fabio it's Happy Redknapp. I think Harry Redknapp will be the next England manager and he deserves it."

Apart from using the abysmal word "footy", I have no problems with that.

Inter, once they get rid of Ranieri at the end of the season.Bomber wrote:Would be very surprised if it was anyone other than Harry.
Where to for Capello though? Surely he'll get a decent gig somewhere else soon.
Re: Capello quits?
Here's hoping England hire an English manager... continue the lulz for everyone else in World Football.
Here is Redknapp's application letter to the FA for the England job...

Harry is a great manager with a great football brain, just because the bloke has a cockney accent does not make him a retard?!!
