b-team refs
dear oh dear oh dear, now i'm well aware the b team games need a ref to play and its not a job i'd put my hand up to, but all teams still to play maco's away be warned.there ref is a total nightmare.you can except a couple of bad calls by the ref but not out and out cheating to get a result in there favour. he sent a player off for asking a question,he booked a player for diving after a crude tackle,he gave many free kicks arround our 18,then awarded a penalty which never was only to send our player off who had been set upon by a spectator.the result was 2-1 when we decided to walk off the park before the penalty was taken but he sent in a 3-1 result(must of thought the goal would of gone in had it been taken).so maybe splash out the cash and get a a proper ref. then beware of LARRY,MO and HARPO the maco hit men who wander arround in search of trouble with the promise of gun fire and gang warfare at our ground lends itself for a fun family day out?????????.

I agree that send off was harsh I believe he appologised to your player afterwards thought it was a player he recently spoke to but oh well I think you'd agree that was a mistake and not a case of cheating!Gamoto mouni wrote:Knight7, your ref ain't to bad, sent one of your own players off, but evened it up with a bullshit front on tackle send off!!! Apart from that he refereed OK

thats sounds a little like what happens at 'colon cleansers' birthday partieslol, that brings back memories !
What can you do to stop that, unfortunately nothing !
I remember a similar game at Bosna with sub standard ref, gangs fighting in a park behind, hookers waiting on the street outside and some bloke walking around with a water bong !
No family day there !

if you dont know who he is, ask aldo serena (something about a goat in the showers after the game yesterday)

Unfortunately, you guys scored that goal at the end. According to Ikon, colon cleanser & myself & a goat would have had a Battle Royale in the changerooms!
Luckily, I got to have a souvlaki and a beer instead.
Your B team ref was an absolute classic. Has he been watching too many AFL games with all the actions?
That said, he did very well.

I agree he's not the best ref, but you were still well beaten.sparts wrote:yeah most are shocking, our b team had an 'official' ref against gully on sun and they recieved 5 yellows to nil, one player made a great sliding challenge winning the ball and not only was a free kick awarded agianst him he recieved a yellow card.to say our coach was livid was an understatement!
Our B's played away to el salvador today and their ref displayed the most blatant cheating I have ever seen. He was a disgrace and could have easily caused an all in brawl. I can't understand how a team can be happy to win when they know they've only got the result through cheating

I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

Mate you need to come watch more of our home games, yes our b team ref is biased but not to us in anyway, he over compensates for that exact type of comment and usually end ups giving way more free kicks to the other team, including 3 penalties this year (to be fair 1 was defently a pen). We consistantly complain but same old thing, no one wants to do it. If you were to come and watch you'd see the other teams generally do less complaining than us because they get the benefit. Also if you new the guy you'd know he takes huge pride in what he does and would never cheat (to his knowledge), he's extremely honest!Gamoto mouni wrote:Ha, Bulldog you should be the last person complaining, your home ref is one of the most biased blokes with a whistle.

We played in round 1 (maybe he was abit rusty) our players wheir getting hacked from behind (no frees), on a couple of occations our foward, got chopped not once but twice from behind before he got dropped, (no yellow card,or free). Your second goal was offside by easy a meter (mind you, the ref was aprox 15-20 meters behind the play) told the linesman, to put his flag down and that goal looked onside from where he stood. GEEZ
Half \time 2-2 seccond half ref was a bit more consistant, we didnt take r chances, o well!!
Anyway all that doesnt matter now, he seemed like a good and level headed bloke. (being biased and being a cheat r two totaly different things, never called him a cheat)
Good luck, see ya on the return leg.
