Re: SATURDAY LEAGUE RESULTS - 2009/06/20

You certainly had the run of play for the 1st 30 mins or so I'm just failing to remember these these chances you had that should have had you 2-3 up at half time. Outside of your long throws you didn't create much of anything. The one I am thinking of in particular was the shot that our striker ...

Re: SATURDAY LEAGUE RESULTS - 2009/06/20

St Peters 1 Sturt 1 Disappointed not to get the win, had Sturt under the pump most of the 2nd half. Under the pump???? The second half was more balanced and I would say St Peters probably edged the half but "under the pump"?????? Did you turn up at half time? You missed a better definition of ...

Sat Div 5:

St Peters 0 - 1 Sturt Marion

Close match all day, could have gone either way, Sturt took their chance and held on for a great result. Sturt go top by a point with the reverse fixture next week, should be another good match.

Re: Saturday C Divisions

It's a bloody joke, three weeks ago we were looking at a full season of 22 matches, and now we have 14 matches with two teams having a bye each week. We have six byes for the season apparently. Fourteen matches is half a season. A league with eight teams should surely play three rounds (i.e. 21 ...

Saturday Div 5, Saints are champions, Sturt Marion runners-up after beating Cove yesterday in the final match of the season. Cove went ahead twice (0-1 and then 1-2) but the mighty Sturt Marion Cs fought back and won it 3-2 to jump Cove and take second spot. Well done to Saints, easily the best team ...

Re: Catch Up Results

Yeah the refereeing in the As was a disgrace. The bloke doing the Bs was much better.

There was quite a bit of bullsh!t, off-the-ball crap throughout which was unnecessary, most notably from the Villa right-back in the first half. He was more irritable than an inflamed haemorrhoid.

Re: Cup scores

Both teams had a lot of chances to win it in the last 10 of normal time and all of extra-time. The last save by Scotty from the penalty was amazing, looking at the video, it was a pretty good penalty - hard and high. Scotty just somehow got his arm up and Sturt are through to the semis. It was a ...

Re: Adelaide Villa v Sturt Marion (POSTPONED)

postponed - jesus, you lot would never get a game played in England if this little amount of rain calls your games off. Saying that, probably why we end up playing double headers at home. Can remember playing 6 games in a week on many occasions in April. It's a touch more complicated than it looks ...

Re: Results June 28th/29th

Division 5 Saturday, it says on the website that Cove White beat Strathalbyn 20-0. Is that a typo?? Never seen a score like that before, even in the Collegiate League. So it does. You never know, maybe Strathalbyn only had eight players or something. Last season someone won 22-0. in my playing days ...

A's Sturt 9 - Cougars 2 B's Sturt 4 - Cougars 0 B's game called off early. From what we could understand Cougars coach wanted his players to walk off after one was sent off??!! Not too sure on the mentality. Probably saving themselves from a higher score line!! A's game quite a physical contest ...

Tea Tree Gully v Sturt Marion Bs on Sunday should be interesting, no idea what TTG are like (or any sunday teams for that matter!) but the SM Bs are one a run of something like 8 wins in a row, pretty good form! Sturt Marion As v Old Ignatians should be very interesting as well, think Sturt will ...

Re: WORST DECISIONS BY A REF - THIS WEEK!!

In the Sat Div 5 match Sturt Marion v Strathalbyn, our ref had to go warm up for the B team so we had the assistant manager of the Bs ref the last 20 minutes. There was an intentional hand-ball in the box by a Strathalbyn defender which blocked a shot, right on the penalty spot - the ball fell to ...

What are the good Saturday clubs, facility wise? Sturt Marion has good facilities I guess, in terms of the Marion Community Club upstairs, but that's not solely the club's, obviously. The change rooms aren't flash but there are plenty worse! About the Sat v Sun issue, playing school sport is ...

Re: Results Round 7

Hey govilla, you've probably already found out about the other Sat Div 2 results, but the Sturt results were both huge victories to the As and Bs (away to Hahndorf), think it was 8-0 to the As and 6-0 to the Bs or something silly like that. The Sturt Cs beat Stirling Cs (Sat Div 5) in a bit of a ...
