When being a member of the State team does not rely on the ability to pay, then maybe the most talented players will get selected. As a matter of interest, which talented players did not get selected to go to Coffs due to the cost ? u13 Skilleroos is 11 mths of training/playing FREE plus all their ...

u13 just lost to Victoria 1-2 ... do we again just see the loss and think another disappointing loss ? Re: 2013 U13 & U14 BOYS STATE TEAM -NATIONAL YOUTH CHAMPIONS
Is it better to win or lose? Are players and teams disappointed when they lose? I agree winning is not everything but it's a big part of football. In development football it can be used to gauge the standard of players and coaching. Normally the teams with the best players and coaches finish close ...

Disappointing results from day 2. Both the 13's and 14's went down to Northern NSW, 0-1 and 0-3 respectively. Hoping there was some positive performances even though our teams lost. Well done to Northern NSW federation for the coverage on their website. Results are updated regularly and clearly ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Yes some PL clubs would have been advantaged with the new structure. But if you do your maths, there are 14 PL clubs in seniors, but the junior leagues are 1 x 12 teams, and 3 x 10 teams, so of course some will be 'B' teams, where else do the remaining 4 teams come from ? redfred, now please show us ...

With the '000s of kids wanting to play the game in SA, and numerous clubs turning kids away at this time of year, if a club can't put 5x junior teams together, then they have internal problems as to why kids don't want to play for that particular club, and need to ask themselves what they are doing ...

That one's obvious, they're part of the senior squad, play on the same day, and it would be a logistical nightmare to have them anywhere else than following the seniors. Whats the logistical difference between 18s, reserves and seniors playing at the same or differents venues, compared to 12s, 13s ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
I'm glad they've postponed it. IMO all players (juniors especially) benefit from playing against players of equal or slightly better ability, that's why we have a PL and SL, you derive very little benefit or pleasure from losing 10-0 or winning 10-0. So why would we force juniors to do anything ...

The Secret to Developing a Footballer

You know, the ones that are just head and shoulders better than their peers, the ones that possess that exceptional amount of skill or ability. What makes these ...

El Paso and ZJ go on about results not mattering and development bla bla. And the juniors should follow the seniors bla bla. I still don't get it, because what your senior team does determines what your Reserves and u18s do, so why can't it also determine junior teams where results and sheep stations shouldn't matter ?

Re: I find it strange
Dont need to quote the senior side, as I was just showing where our 'junior fees' go Yes, you need to find another $100k+ to run a senior PL team U18/Res/Seniors 120K divided by about 55 players. So each cost about $2k to pit on the park. It's not that it''s a terrible thing, just a fact that ...
