Re: FFSA Metropolitan Competition

But hasn't this been the stance since day 1 that the FFSA has said it wants an amateur competition and the first preference was to bring the current amateur competition in to cover that. If for any reason the current amateur association didn't join up then the FFSA would go alone would have been ...

Re: FFSA Metropolitan Competition

Re the potential shortage of referees, my understanding is the referee associations have or will become affiliated with the FFSA and then will only referee at matches of similar affiliated organisations, which would currently exclude Amateurs, EDJSA and SDJSA.

Re: Mercy Rule ????

When you're playing a cup round, obviously a stronger team and up ten goals max what's wrong with throwing the defenders - including the goal keeper - up forward and limiting your normal midfielders and forwards to the defensive half. Play for possession is another option - no shots on goal just ...

Mr Right, I have seen some other constitutions which do not have such bye-laws, but the football federation of australia does, and the football federation of south australia abides by ffa rules. Even though associations such as the hills allow it, without an exemption from the ffa, basically its ...

Mr Right, yes it is in the constitution. Bye-law 5 (a) (ii) No player registered with the E & D.J.S.A may register or play for any other Junior Soccer Association except in accordance with bye-law 5 (a) (iii). Bye-law 5 (a) (iii) Players may be registered and play with a School Registered ...

You can play for a school team and an association team, i.e federation team or e&d team, but you cannot play for a fed team on a sunday and an e&d team on a saturday. This is an archaic ruling and totally contradictory. I asked Frances Bedford MP, who passed it on to the State Minister of Sport ...

I've carried a digital SLR into Hindmarsh in a camera bag backpack which was checked by security on the way in so they saw the camera and lenses and let them in. Have heard a few clubs are not happy with losing players to a 2008 Under 14 team south of the city where the coach was Zone coach in 2007 how ever to say they were "poached" may not be the case at all.

How do you define "poaching"?

Zeljko, Firstly, if you are not going to replace any of your players then why put them through the trauma of a trial in the first place, especially at such a young age? It is also misleading and giving false hope to anyone outside the team who turns up to trial. Secondly, if you are playing Under 8 ...

Apparently is good for the other local clubs, I heard Seaford has picked up an extra two teams in three age groups who have trialled so far, where South Adelaide has dropped at least one.

Seaford's costs are about half of South Adelaide too.

I can't agree that a team should be in the "A" league because the individuals have paid more money. The "A" League should consist of the best teams no matter which club they belong to. When players are growing out of the Junior League, then they need to decide whether to stay loyal to their ...

Regarding numbers I've heard (second hand) that it was a matter of players were ranked and then the question was "where do you draw the line?" If there was 50 good enough then 50 would get in.
