Warner won't get dropped, saying that, he will probably score a century in the 5th test..... provided Broad doesn't bowl!

Best bowling figures. :wink:Rookie wrote:Stoopid decision in dropping Head, the selectors should have just stuck with the same team instead of bringing in Marsh
Thought mad not to bat first, and drop Starc for Siddle.
Almost like we are playing the junior style where give everyone a game.

His batting has been below average, he needs to make some runs.

Hey, Greasy, I bet you believe everything you read in your copy of Womens Weekly too. Haven't you figured it out yet, that people who write books & newspaper articles always add in some spicy titbits.....it sells copies.

So those who admitted ball tampering lied? Why on earth would they do that?B.Toomer wrote:Hey, Greasy, I bet you believe everything you read in your copy of Womens Weekly too. Great series comes to an end. 18 years and counting.
you guys have made celebrating failure an art form.....isn't the objective to be in possession of the Urn????
don't worry about Bummer....his fall back modus operandi is racism...

Re: Ashes 2019
Win home, draw away. I'll take that for as long as it accepted by the poms.
In a way, there is a positive to us losing the last test - there were many problems exposed in this series, so hopefully they are addressed before too long.

The objective is to win the series. Did you see the aussie celebrations this morning, literally celebrating failure.MegaBonus wrote:God is an Englishman

Re: Ashes 2019
Conclusions:
Drawn series, good enough - would have taken it at start of series
Paine good media speaker, but not really future captain (too many errors, eg DRS, sending opposition in, pressure when we lost by one wicket, batting form)
Selectors - lots of queries here - Head's omission, Starc dropped for Siddle last test, persistence with Warner.
Opening batsmen - failed, simple
Positives - Smith, Labuschagne, Cummins, maybe Hazlewood but that's about it
Umpiring - not very good
Root - cheat

You don't care about the test rankings?
You don't care about the world cup standings?
Truly laughable, bit like aussie rules, celebrating mediocrity.

I think most people were upset about losing the semi. Didn't see any celebrations.

If you want to list everyone that has "cheated" in this series, could be a long list.Bomber wrote:Conclusions:

Can only think of Root. Maybe the odd umpire...…..God is an Englishman wrote:If you want to list everyone that has "cheated" in this series, could be a long list.Bomber wrote:Conclusions:

You can do better than that. Umpires were bad for both teams so would have been a weird way to cheat.
Khawaja and Warner were both caught and stood their ground.

Re: Ashes 2019
Thinnest of edges (given out anyway) as opposed to claiming a catch that was a half-volley (given out, when it wasn't). Justice served re Warner and Usman, not with Root. There's your difference.

Root caught it. Only way he didn't was if he had deformed fingers or he had previously dug a hole in the ground to put them in.Bomber wrote:Thinnest of edges (given out anyway) as opposed to claiming a catch that was a half-volley (given out, when it wasn't). Both (if for some strange reason you think Root cheated) then both were attempts to deceive the umpires. Aussies were quick to abuse Broad for not walking, why the hypocrisy?

Broad wasn't given out, the others were so justice prevailed.God is an Englishman wrote:Root caught it. By the way, why does Leach wear goggles when he bats, but not when he bowls or fields?
