Well the Aussie's latest "warm up" games do make for interesting discussions. Blowing a 2-0 series lead in South Africa followed by a couple thumpings in India could mean one of two things. It's all a big ruse to get some teams into a false sense of security against us, OR we are just slowly getting crappier. I would have said the latter if it weren't for the fact lately, we keep winning the toss and batting second, which has been pretty silly given recent hit-outs and batting first has resulted in some big scores.

Finally win toss and batted first. Wasn't as bad was it. Now just a matter of who to leave in and who goes out for the final WC squad.
Looks like our dad's army is struggling a bit. Can't bowl, can't bat and can't field. Can win the toss alright but even then get what to do wrong.
Maybe they're all feeling sorry for the Wallabies.......

Looks like Australia & England are either burnt out or racking up some better odds at the bookies before making a late dash.
Terrible start for England from the bowlers. Woakes got from world beater to muppet quite quickly.
Didn't see the batting (as an early start for the rugby) but scorecard is not good reading.
Quiet thread - might liven up as we draw closer to the end of the round-robin games. Be hard to see anyone toppling India, but I guess all it takes is one bad game from them at the pointy end.

Surely too many group games with each side playing 9 matches. Going to a few dead rubber games soon.
How about two groups of 5 play each other once , with top two in each group into semi finals.
Don't mind the format they're running with but they need to be playing 2 games a day to get the tourney over in a month.
We're not even halfway through yet and it feels like it's really dragging along.
Clearly there are 3 good teams and then the rest - Australia have found some form but England are terrible at the moment

Can't blame England for last night. The conditions were terrible. Fielding first would have exhausted them. The SA top scorer was totally fatigued when he came onto the field to greet his players at the end. I'm not sure if he fielded at all.

Same conditions for both sides.
They won the toss and chose to FIELD during the worst of the conditions so no one to blame but themselves

Nice little net run rate booster overnight.
Will this match go down with other great sporting victories.
Australia's world record World Cup history win of 31:0 in soccer over another powerhouse like American Samoa.

In fairness the Netherlands beat South Africa the other week.

How on earth did they do that. I suppose flukes always happen in ODI cricket. Look at the last ODI cricket WC.
