SAASL - WHY?
The pitch has grass you can stand in and you won't see your boots
The lines are not marked they are dug
They have no linesman flags
The club ref doesn't even have a whistle
10% of their team are not registered
You ask for a card check (which achieves nothing because they refuse to partake in a check) and abuse you for doing so
They make multiple subs at halftime and don't record it
The team sheet is un-readable
The goals are below regulation height
They do not record red cards for their team on the team sheet (in fact they don't even have cards)
Club refs just let everything go unless it's against their team and it usually ends in aggression
Is it me or do other club feel the same?
Will the SAASL only listen if all clubs just refuse to travel to these clubs for away fixtures?
What's the answer? Why must we wait until someone is seriously hurt etc?

Re: SAASL - WHY?
We encountered exactly the same issues when playing them.
We asked the A Grade referee for a card check and found at least four unregistered players (including you know who).
They then had a man sent off, and it turned out he wasn't on the team sheet either!
We took this up with the league and the referee in question submitted a report but nothing has been done!

I think I was at that game. They didn't have flags for the linesmen either.Will_ wrote:They then had a man sent off, and it turned out he wasn't on the team sheet either!
The English approach to ideas is not to kill them, but to let them die of neglect.
Re: SAASL - WHY?
Are we playing a guessing game?
In that case, I'll say the club in question is Adelaide Villa. Kick those bums out already, I've had enough!!

I'm sure we could list 20 clubs past and present.
Won't they be going for the FFSA license as The Adelaide Falcons?

Re: SAASL - WHY?
They should just put all these teams in the same league and let them implode because they have no interest in building a club.

There'd be a lot of guys walking around funny after those games, and not for obvious reasons.spooky1972 wrote:They should just put all these teams in the same league and let them implode because they have no interest in building a club.

You would think Angkor, with sponsors such as Standard Chartered and BWIN, would at least be able to afford corner flags??

no canteen, most of the team are ring ins, from what i have seen no money coming in, so how the hell do they survive? they must be getting grants, they have to give parafield high something and saasl i cant see how without grants of some type.astonvilla91 wrote:Do they just not apply for government grants?
its a shame clubs like that will possibly stay in div3 while hahndorf will possibly go, I'm sure every team would rather walk to hahndorf than drive to Angkor, surely some mid table teams can lazily drop some points to hahndorf for the good of their league in 2015, they could all do a blue nile.

As I said maybe it's time for the remaining Div3 teams to do something for the good of their league in 2015
