will Platini critisize Madrid ?

Post by vertu1 »

If Man City or any other English club had just paid 130 million pounds for 2 players Platini would be throwing everything at them and accusing them of ruining the game
lets see what he has to say when someone else does it, i suspect the silence will be deafening

European football supremo Michel Platini expressed shock on Thursday as Real Madrid's world record bid for Cristiano Ronaldo followed hot on the heels of the blockbuster Kaka move.

"These excessive transfers are happening almost every day," said the Frenchman, who as president of UEFA has vowed to clean up the financial side of the game and create a level economic playing field.

"These transfers are a serious challenge to the idea of fair play and the concept of financial balance in our competitions," said Platini, who as one of the world's top players was lured to Juventus of Italy from French side St Etienne back in 1982.

Platini, who went on to win the European Player of the Year award in 1983, 1984 and 1985 explained that UEFA was planning action to put an end to football's excesses.

"UEFA is working hard with clubs to set up a new set of rules as soon as is possible to clean up the system and give it a more solid, more transparent base," Platini told AFP.

"That is our top priority today."

Platini's comments come after Real Madrid bid 94 million euros for Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo on Thursday, days after they paid AC Milan 65 million euros for the Brazilian midfielder Kaka.

Michel Platini Slams Real Madrid's 'Excessive' Pursuit Of Cristiano Ronaldo

The UEFA boss is not happy with the manner in which the summer transfer market is shaping up...

The president of UEFA, Michael Platini, often critical of the manner in which sides from the Premier League recklessly throw wages and transfer fees around Europe, has slammed Spanish side Real Madrid for following suit.

The Primera Division runners-up have spent close to €165 million on just two players: Brazilian attacker Kaka and Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo. Platini believes this contradicts the idea of "fair play".

The administrator, himself regarded as one of the finest footballers during his playing days with Juventus and France, told AFP, "These excessive transfers are happening almost every day."

Platini is keen to address the fiscal environment of European football and therefore wants to adopt a socialist policy to continental competition by creating a level economic playing field.

"These transfers are a serious challenge to the idea of fair play and the concept of financial balance in our competitions," he complained.

"UEFA is working hard with clubs to set up a new set of rules... to clean up the system and give it a more solid, more transparent base.

"That is our top priority today," he concluded

It's an investment. Except the investment produces immediate dividends, by the end of the season that $250 million will be back in the club bank account. It's a good model, Florentino just needs to not get so carried away this time. We have a good attacking base with Ronaldo, Kaka, Robben and Villa not to mention Higuain and the possible incorporation of Silva. We have a decent defensive base with Lass, Sergio Ramos, Metzelder, Pepe, Heinze, Garay, Marcelo, Miguel Torres, we could probably use a centre back and a left back though. Once we complete the signing of Villa and hopefully Silva, a plan needs to be put in place to bring Albiol and Clichy (or someone of that quality) that way we can afford to have Heinze as our 2nd choice left back, push Marcelo up as 2nd choice left mid (I'm taking it as pretty likely that if we sign Silva it means Robben is going) and have an overall better balance.

Valdano has promised a wing back, most likely Maicon, which I reiterate we don't need but we shall see how it goes.

First Villa, then if we can get him Silva...then Albiol and then a left back and our team will be set for next season.

What will happen to Raul if you buy Villa?

Where will david silva play with Kaka and Ronaldo in the team?

Will you ever buy any players that arent over priced (Metzelder 22 million, Pepe 28 MILLION)

Raul will take a role similar to Maldini in his last few years, supporting the team and coming off the bench when he is needed.

David Silva would play left mid, Kaka centre attacking mid and Ronaldo right mid, although I think Pellegrini has envisioned system where David Villa is the out and out striker, Ronaldo is behind him in a second striker role, Kaka and Silva are offensive midfielders and the back is sured up by Lass and Diarra.

We buy at high prices because for star players to play for our team it is what is required, teams know we have money, and we can't really hide that fact from them. So if Milan wants to sign a particular player the price might be 5 million whilst if Real Madrid wants to sign them the price is 10 million...we can't really help that at all.

Dear Mr. "Know-all" Madrista61253429786 your highness, Could you please pass on to me Pellegrini's mobile number seeing as he discusses everything with you about his team, players and formations.

Makes me laugh how in the last few days, when the circus you follow spends ludacris amounts of money on 2 players, you are all over this forum, posting crap every 5 minutes.

You vanished into thin air a few months ago when Juve beat you home and away. When Liverpool smashed you 5 - 0 and when Barca absolutley demolished you on your own ground.

So called superstar players dont make a team, and money can't buy you sucess. Just ask Roman Abramovic.
Also not so long ago you were bagging the crap out of Ronaldo now you wanna root him. Make your mind up.

Your a :clown: just like the circus club you follow.
MY CONFESSION: I only visit this website to see "DAM" make a fool of himself.

You silly little man, in reference to possible tactics next season, seeing as Pellegrini hasn't exactly said anything (and if he did I would only really know about it through the papers). I unfortunately don't have any official connections to the club unless you consider my grandpa playing for their youth team a connection but my grandpa passed away a long time ago. So basically anything I can gather is from websites and newspapers...Mr Juventus board member, where do you get your information from? I suppose you are Juventus, the board of directors, coaches, medical team and financial advisors all in 1 ay

You cannot just read something in a newspaper and then believe it. There is a thing called the media making up crap. I read newspapers, but I don't believe anything until there is substantial evidence on the subject.
