Champions league round of 16

Post by a1079978 »

Anyone want to have a guess at the results of the first round of the champions league last 16 round between the 3 Italian teams and the 3 English teams. Im thinking the winners will be Man U, Juventus and its hard to pick between Roma and Arsenal as they are both very good short passing teams.

Mate are you just plain stupid? I cant predict what will happen in that match but you are an absolute joke that you think that you guys are a better team than PAO lol what have you been smoking?? PAO and OLYMPIAKOS are the 2 powerhouses of Greek football and your somewhere behind us hoping for any scraps that get thrown to you.

Also how is Villareal the second best team in Spain you absolute joke of a :clown: - go back to hole you came from

ML , a bit over the top with your response, it is nice to see UEFA structure the draw to give some of the lesser clubs a chance... Good luck to both Villareal and PAO, let's face it if they were playing one of the top clubs they would be on the way out anyway, this way at least one of you gets to play in the last 8 ...

Panathanaikos's goal was a more a goalkeeping blunder than anything.

Chelsea - Juventus ~ huge game, juve in a tight one
Villarreal - Panathinaikos ~ could have a paok upset but i reckon villareal to strong
Sporting - Bayern ~ bayern lookin way to good, ribery to tear up
Atletico Madrid - FC Porto ~ atletico looking way to threatening
Lyon - Barcelona ~ could go either way
Real Madrid - Liverpool ~ liverpool to scrape through
Arsenal - Roma ~arsenal will win this one should be a cracker
Inter - Manchester United ~ along with chelsea juve game of the round imo could go either way

Twice in the group stages Villareal played against Man Utd and drew with them both times without conceding. If Pao played Man Utd i'm pretty sure the two legged tie will be over at half time of the first leg!

Chelsea - Juventus
Villarreal - Panathinaikos
Sporting - Bayern
Atletico Madrid - FC Porto
Lyon - Barcelona
Real Madrid - Liverpool
Arsenal - Roma
Inter - Manchester United

once again, the EPL teams will reign dominance in europe.

chelsea will just edge out juve, im predicting a rather slow low scoring match.

dont think pana has got anything on a fine playing villareal.

bayern will scrape through against a stubborn playing sporting.

Atl Madrid are playing pretty well and i rekon will take care of porto.

Messi is just too good and i rekon he will prove the factor in beating lyon, i can see alot of goals here from both sides.

This is where liverpool tend to shine and put any mishaps aside to continue their great UCL runs. great match up but R.madrid seem rather inconsistent.

Arsenal V Roma is the hardest of all the games to predict, both are rather inconsostent, and then play some world class stuff. im tipping the gunners to take this one.

Inter have been said to be lucky right now, but i dont see luck going their way against a strong team unit from man united. Zlatan and co maybe good but Ronaldo and co are better.

Chelsea wont be stopped by a Juventus side that needs to be strengthend in the transfer window.

Pana have been playing good football and have been playing a good system, cant see Villerreal getting the result needed in Greece.

Atletico are the most attacking side in the bloody world at the moment, cant see Porto coping with Aguero, Forland, Simao and co.

Barca, Nuff Said.

Real Madrid wont be stopped by a determined Liverpool side. too many stars, Liverpool have a mid level Riera who was nothing special in Spain and is dominating at Liverpool.

Arsenal are Shite.

Inter are in a bad patch in UEFA and Man U are probably one of the best teams in the world in terms of depth. Anderson, Tevez, Johnny Evans and co could be playing at top level sides.

Chelsea to be the only English side to go through.
Villareal, Bayern, Barca and Athletico will be the other sides to progress.
