I agree, sounds great.BillShankly wrote:Be great if something like this could be established in Australia or just in South Aus
I'd like to see something like a quaterly or 6 monthly coaches meeting/seminar that updates guidelines, shares new techniques and allows coaches to mingle and network.
This will help improve football for the future, anyone seen how the Dutch do it, there was a doc on SBS during the World Cup?

Around thirty years ago we did have a Coaches Association and it organised seminars, courses, accreditation, education etc. but then it gradually fell away due to the lack of support from the clubs and the SASF, ASF, etc.
Most of the top coaches of today were involved and we all got to know each other pretty well.
It is very important for coaches of all levels to meet and get to know one another as coaching can be a lonely job at times.

Can anyone approach the FFSA to re-establish some sort of Coaches Committee (at the risk of sounding beaurocratic)?
Coaches, like many players, end up coaching at several clubs during their lifetime so it would be good to build positive relationships with fellow coaches through forums, seminars, update training sessions, etc.
