Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Wanderers last season had to win last game of the season against Stirling to win the league - and they choked!!
Could we see a repeat this weekend against St Peters - one can only hope!!
For the team supposedly dubbed the best side to ever play Saturday Amateurs they still have not won a league!!
I agree with the sentiment in they have shot themselves in the foot with what they have both said on this forum and the way they have reacted both on and off the pitch in the past and for that they probably don't deserve it based on their actions on the forum and both on and off the pitch. However they have got the reuslts and if they do beat St Peters they will have deserved the title in that they have accumulated more points than anyone else but let's hope that if they do win some humility is shown in victory which is something they ahve not managed to do as yet, but what better time for a first
Yes this hurts to write after the rubbish that they have posted on this forum but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and think that what they say and what they do are two seperate matters. Roo stayed for a drink at our club and took the banter fairly well (he even intimated the pipe of peace to our supporters ) Their coach also stayed behind for a few drinks and although he has in the past been one of the offenders it seems that everyones attitudes towards them both on the forum and on the park is finally sinking in, in that winning doesn't have to come at a cost

So what !!! When to teams go head to head for a title no-one has a divine right to win it and one team invariably has to lose. That will be the same this weekend not only for them and Saint Peters, but also for Elizabeth Vale and Para Hills West. Two teams willl miss out... it's part and parcle of the game.

Ah Bodo always so diplomatic!!
I too realise this is always the case - that someone has to eventually lose (all us other forum users have a brain too!!).
The whole point is that Wanderers will probably once again fall short even though they have talked themselves up about being so good yet they can't even win a title!!
