Cool. Can we pick a venue that isn't a billion miles away

I see Birks U16 JPL have two people listed in their squad tonight that have already played in the cup for their U16 JSL team. If anyone on here knows the U16 coach then maybe worth telling them before their JPL team plays.

My understanding is that they can do this, however the boys will then be cup tied to the U16jpl team or up. Other words they can not then play back down in the U16jsl.

Nope

14.1 For all Junior Cup Competitions, players shall be permitted to move up an age group, but once the player has moved up to a higher age group they shall not be permitted to move back down to the lower age group. If a Club has two teams in the same age group, once a player has played for one team, they shall not be permitted to move to the other team in the same age group.

14.2 Players are not permitted to participate in the Junior Cup Competition if they have participated in a Senior Cup Competition, being the Under 18s, Reserves or WFFA Cup.

14.3 A goalkeeper is not cup tied and may play for another team if age eligible. This rule only applies provided that they play as a goalkeeper.

not great for Birkalla if they play. They would have been favourites to win it as well

If a ref decides that a player or players are over age (with no proof and in fact it's totally untrue) what is he supposed to do? I would have thought he would need to make the players leave the field and not play.

it’s not about over age. It’s about playing for two teams at the same age group.

No this is a different scenario. Not a cup tie issue. Ref walked out and just singled out 2 players and said they were over age as far as he was concerned. But let them play any way.

Nothing he can do apart from let them play and put his concerns on the match report. It's not his responsibility to check ID's.

1-15 July

It's on the FFSA website under Competitions, 2018 Season Calendar.
