Ever heard of sponsorship Carntyne..carntyne square wrote:oh the cocky swagger of purchased glory.it really does wonders for a man's confidence.but as our Greek friends down the road are just finding out, the well dries out eventually.so sing win ya winning gardens.it'll be someone else's wallets turn soon enough.
Gardens have played it smart IMO & Lefty runs the club like a business & at the moment a very successful one.
SAASL now dangle a carrot with some prize $$ on offer, since the SAASL introduced this Gardens have taken advantage & invested wisely in players, this in hand helps us push for championships meaning a financial reward at the the end of the season aswell as picking up additional sponsorship along the way & more supporters coming & watching are brand of football & of course spending more $$ within the club canteen/BBQ/bar etc.
Last years prize $$ has been spent wisely & as a result we have won another championship & pushing for further silverware, thus meaning a financial windful for the club AGAIN - smart business I say
So yeah a touch of cockiness (as you would do if you had won what we have so far) but yet I'm proud to be a involved with the best run, supported & most admired club within the SAASL
