Why would three team have byes. Surely two of them could play off against each other.

That way 32 teams make it through to the next round making it 16 - 8 - 4 - 2 etc for the later rounds... but the Westies bit might throw that out. I am guessing they are playing one of the 3 teams that have the bye

Budapest reserves were withdrawn from the cup competition three or four weeks ago so if the league has drawn them the league has made an error.

Well if so Gardens could play Vale, as they have a bye.... again

Plus I am not the secretary and don't cohabit with the Coach.

because certain divisions get a pass to the 1st round. Like the FA Cup where League One and League Two side don't become involved until the 1st round proper.

there were 12 prelim cup matches played thus 12 teams were eliminated, if they only played 10 games,there would be 2 more teams in the 1st round thus removing 2 byes in round 1?

Agreed. We are relishing the game against Gardens and to make sure we are competitive.

talk around is 30 odd ta zip wont do their younger lads any good as they getting pumped in sat div 5 as is and will do nothing except demoralise them and for a club with 14 senior players and only 3 junior side i tend ta agree they cant afford to lose any players.
