from my point of view if we had a supporter turn up at our game and start shit we would be the first ones to get on their case, unfortunatly not all people feel this way and try to justify an incident by blaming it on someone that apparently just decided to come out of nowhere and make trouble. wich just proves my point.... some people arent going to turn on their own supporters and 'dob' or point the finger... they would rather lie and pretend they dont know them...as sad as it is some of the ethnic clubs have a sort of 'clan' mentality and they will take sides with their own wether its right or wrong so unless they themselves change their attitudes there is not much anyone can do , and i still think this sort of thing will happend because you can not control other peoples actions.... random or not...
while its probably unfair to punish a whole club for the actions of one person there needs to be clearly defined, harsh consequences for any club and associates who are repeat offenders...

If an assault occurs on a referee by a player or supporter, the Club must act in accordance to the rules, that is the Ground Marshall & Senior Club Officials must do everything in there power to prevent this from occurring & protect the Referee at all times. If the Club Marshall & Senior Club Officials have done everything in there power to prevent it, but it still occurs. Then the Club must notify the League & help Police in the investigation of the Guilty party & THEN the Club must take action on that player or supporter.
(as the Gardens did when Mohamad ripped up the Referees cards. Mohamad was found Guilty of assault of an official & suspended by our Club for 1 year which the League accepted)
If the Club is found not to have done everything in its power to prevent this assault & then doesn't come forward with the Guilty. Then the Club will be held responsible by the League, & a suitable punishment awarded to the Club by them in my opinion Expulsion from the League. Time to get tough Guarranty Clubs will come forward with the Guilty Party then.

Plus one game I knew a lot of the opposition as well.

The referee is there to officiate, without them we have no game & may as we just have a kick around in the park. Respect the official when the game is over & you lost suck it up, if your upset with the Referee & feel you need to let it out write your complaint on the forum, don't assault him or abuse him after the game.

I guess the 'ban violence in football' campaign of last year did the trick then!

This argument will go on forever until there is substanstial punishment from the governing body...and i dont mean punishment which just fills the cofffers with cash....you want to stamp it out change the legislation if thats what is required and kick the club out for a year at first and if they are able to return the following year then so be it.....that is the only solution!
