I guess one team was not "insured" so to speak. The insurance is bollocks anyhow!

Just to explain what happened here. After 15 mins. There was a little bit of heat in the tackles etc. The game was played competitively and this does happen. To cut a long story short, there was a verbal altercation between a couple of players and the ref, other players stepped in to calm the situation down. The ref got a little "sensitive" decided to call the game off. The president(s) stepped in (me being one) said to calm down and play nice... we resumed the game with a new ref and the game was played out. Very mountain made out of mole hills stuff. I must admit, I wouldnt have appreciated the verbal barrage. But you are going to get that after all it is Amateurs. It happens. We moved on and the game was played out without any further incidents.

Thanks to Fulham for the game yesterday was impressed with some of their new faces & finished their chances in front of goal well. Their goal keeper was a stand out & continually gave instructions to his team throughout the game. All the best to Fulham for the season ahead.

Florina v Vale

Cs 2-0
Bs 1-2
As 1-2

Good hit out for all three teams. Vale almost unrecognisable from last years team - seem to have recruited very heavily. Good luck to them for 2012 and as always, excellent supporters of the bar and food.

Yes the first ref was an official ref. And the second one wasnt. Seriously who has tow official refs for a pre-season friendly. IMO self explanatory... you know the answer to your own question :D

We looked okay tbh, probably could've had the game sewn up in the 1st half but Vale worked hard in the second and got two good goals.

I thought they looked ok. A lot of new faces from what I remember seeing last year. 2 or 3 key players which will be the key to their success during the year.

Fulham looked the goods and are well up on last year. They had a couple of pacey forwards that caused trouble all game. Absolute cracker of a first goal and plenty of good build up from both sides. Good luck for the season and we'll see you in the main event.

Just to add and clear up the scenario, there was some words exchanged between the ref and one of
the players from Macedonia, the ref then gave him a red card. Player was obviously upset, and had to be held back by his team mates, the ref then got upset and walked off. Beograd found another ref and the game continued and was played in good spirits between the two teams. Also the maso player that was red carded was allowed to continue playing after the "offical" ref walked off

Florina looked very sharp in the first half, but missed many chances,to Vales credit they stepped up a gear and put the Florina Team under pressure, which secured them the win.

Good to see both clubs giving the chance to the younger guys to play,I think both clubs will do well this
year

a red carded player comes back on to the pitch when the unofficial ref takes control of the game, sounds like a total farce, and the season hasn't even started yet

Are you being serious ?, it's a bit late in the game to be playing it in good spirits, after what seems a total lack of respect for fellow players and officials, and i will state again this is pre season

Once again making mountains from mole hills. How can i be more clear.. The incident occured within the first 10-15 minutes of the game, so no it wasnt to late, secondly there was no "incident" or argument between the players, it was a simple misunderstanding between the ref and player. The player was allowed back on because noone believed the red card was necessary and the ref may have let personal pride affect his decision. There was NO incident between the two teams and the players got along fine, there was NO fight or anything of that sort. Simple misunderstanding between the ref and thw player which resulted in an exchange of words. The "official" ref was also a member of the club, hence why the red card decision was reversed.. Full stop

Sounds like these clubs have no respect for the rules or officials, regardless of 'no one believed the red card was necessary", the man in charge made a decision, end of.

Why get upset enough in a trial game to "have to be held back by his team mates"? It's a pity clubs don't take responsibility and discipline these tards themselves.

No our club will not discipline the lad (why would you call people 'Tards' BigG when you were not there, very few facts presented and you have Judged them as 'Tards, very immature of you), as the Beograd lads said, Ref lost control of game. had words with a player, walked off, substitute ref was excellent controlled game extremely well not one bad word said to him. And again a Mountain has been created by a few forumites who wish to sully our name.

Have to agree here.

This forum has a habit of sensationalizing things.

In my opinion, the ref could have handled the situation alot better.

It was a trial game, it should have never even got to that level, and it shouldn't have even be an incident.

Thanks to the Maco boys for sticking around to catch up and have something to eat and drink. They are a great club with a rich tradition.

For the record, they also attended our Pre-season cup and were the winners of last years cup, hence why we were keen on playing them again and inviting them to our club for a trial match this pre-season.

We like their club, their players and the company/spectators that they bring. They are more than welcome at our club, and we look forward to seeing them again in the home and away season.

Ga Pala, this is a massive generalisation.

Macedonia are not a Drop Kick Club.

They have a rich history, and are an inclusive club from what I saw.

They have a variety of different players from different backgrounds and they play well together. So I wholehertedly disagree with the statement that we should boot macedonia out of the league for being a drop kick club.

Complete slander in my opinion!

Because it is my opinion based on observations from someone who was there, anyone needing holding back by fellow team mates (approaching a ref or opposition) is a tard.
