South Coast United 0 - Pt Pirie 2

i thought Pirie dominated for the first 10 or 15 and were unlucky not to go up then. their 2 goals came from defensive errors on our part but they took the well. 2 nil up at half time so we were left chasing the game.
credit to the lads, no one gave up. i think we hit the cross bar or post about 4 times, it just didnt want to go in and was one of those days.

I couldn't do 1/10th the things those keepers do... just saying they were simple for someone of benny's ability. ross didn't have a good day for us but he will bounce back and so will the lads.

outside the A League hahaha blowing wind up him arent ya. Fair enough your bias @ gardens but in all seriousness that is the worst call ever and we have seen some bad ones on here before. I rate him easily the best in the SAASL but not the best outside the A League in SA. Dont get me wrong he is an awesome keeper his communication/ability and all round game are good just think there are better all rounders even some of the young talent coming through currently playing super league are on par if not a edge above IMO no doubt ill get shot down for having an opinion on something i coach and have a heavy interest in especially from McNugg

I don't see much of home games so this is what I've pieced together from what I saw and what I was told. A good performance by our guys today having the better of possession and plenty of chances to put the game beyond doubt. Grove were always in it and pressed and pressed. At 3-1 with 7 minutes to go you'd like to think the game would be over but Grove to their credit created 2 goals to pick up a point. To say we were devestated is and understatement. The boys will pick themselves up this week for the Vale game. We've played really well in the last two weeks but only have a point to show for it..
Staiting the obvious Jay but you wouldn't want to drop any points to the Vale, Huge games for both clubs...

I heard a rumour that the police were called to the Downs because of trouble from a few Downs Youths apparently being disrespectful to some of the Vale woman??

I headed out to watch Pontian play out at Parafield. A tough old game. Gardens should of scored a few more but Pontians were pretty good. A couple of non Greeks they have running around out there looked the part. Parafield deserved the win and the Pontians need to control their temper. The headbutt towards the end there was just silly.

A few whispers around the drinks cart was that there was fight between Vale and Downs supporters at half time and the Jaks had to be called?

PS I also got a message last week that Elizabeth Downs had me in their fanzine    Sorry if I upset you ladies. 10 schooners of cement should cure those tears.

Oh and the food wasn't too bad out there but your drinks prices are a little steep. Good set up at Gardens but one of the uglist strips going around.

i don't believe they were downs youth... they were there all day and gave it to everyone from the vale, it was constant abuse. no fight took place, guys just stepped up to them at told them to shut up. everyone walked away as the 2nd half began and the boys in blue turned up and everything settled.

The Downs & Vale have a healthy respect for each other on & off the park, and the group of young lads mentioned neither play for or are members of the Downs and cheers to the Vale people that came in for drinks. Unfortunatley you cant control who comes to watch your team....I mean have you seen the window lickers that stand around Bradman oval on a Sunday arvo
