Thought I would drag this back up to see who was close and who was way off the mark.
4 games to go I reckon my prediction was close enough
any of these 4 to win it, it all depends on consistency.
Downs, Florina and Ingle Farm will be in the party mix again and for the right reasons and
I'll add Gardens as my dark horse to that as well.
Gonna be a great last 4 games thats for sure.
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

Everyone seem to overlook Gardens. Their recruits this year have made a massive diffenence to them by all reports. A result on Sunday sees would make them favourites to win the league.

We lost our first game today but walk away with alot of positives but also some things that we need to work on. I thought both teams knocked the ball around quite well and both would have benefited from a game thats was very well contested (especially in the heat). All the best to Parafield Gardens who played the game in good spirits and will no doubt be in the upper tier of Sunday Div 1 again this year.

We look forward to testing ourselves again next week against the best amatuer team in the state and going by todays result are going to be the benchmark of the league again.

Not sure about that, they still have to play Farm and Downs, marginally tougher run home than Florina

If Gardens do win it from here there can be no excuses or whinging from anyone.

To win they would have had to have beaten the other three in the top four at the business end of the season. You can't do better than that and they would be worthy champions and King Nugget will rule the forum.

I would be happy for Gardens to win it apart from the fact that Nugget will gloat non-stop for the next twelve months. Whereas, Florina were pretty humble last year- even Lucky was managable.

Steedy and Legga from the Downs definitely used to go over the top a bit.

So us doing the double over Downs this year and reversing the 3-1 loss against Farm means jack?

Nope lol.

Of course it does but if Gardens over the next 3 weeks beat the teams currently sitting 1st, 3rd and 4th then they certainly can't question if they deserved to win the league. The same can be said about Florina but the point that Yoo Too is making that Gardens have the much harder run home.

Not wanting to put any pressure on you Burner but unfortunately if Gardens do win all three remaining games or indeed the Downs pull off the improbable and win the title everything you have done for the last two years will mean Jack. The Flora's will be remembered as a once off flash in the pan.

To say that if Florina don't win it they will be looked at as a flash in the pan is such a stupid & dumb comment...
Florina won the 2009 League Title & are deserved favourites this year & so they should be they've scored the most Goals & been Top of the League for most of the year. Don't worry even if Florina dont win it this year they will be at the pointy end of the season for the next few years...
