I've heard so many of those quotes before...most notably Ronaldo last season, who said pretty much the same thing.
When the statements are released then will I believe.

Re: KAKA to REAL MADRID
Comments like this make me laugh. You copped 6 at home to a rival, nothing justifies being humiliated at home, let alone the spanking you copped from Liverpool.Madridista612 wrote:Past it, what are you talking about man?
One terrible season in which we come up against the best team the world has ever seen and we're past it...might I add that your boys were also destroyed by Barca in the Champions League final. Well may you say that we lost 2-6 at the Bernabeu, and fair enough we did, but we were in a position that we had to risk everything to get the 3 points and with Barca having a much better attack the scored goals. Last season was similar for barca, although they weren't fighting for the title they were obliged to win and lost as a result of going all out to secure the 3 points and make the fans a bit happier. Man Utd's tactic was to park the bus in front of goal and let Ronaldo have the occassional forray into the Barca's half of the field and STILL you conceded 2 goals.
If Madrid are past it, then i'd hate to say exactly what was thought of Manchester United pre-1999 and with Alex Ferguson seemingly prepared for retirement (well I mean he can't last that much longer can he?) Manchester United will indeed have a problem on their hands, replacing the man that has dictated almost everything at the club for the past 20 or so years. It's easy to criticise but it shows little respect and a severe dispostion towards ignorance and arrogance.
You were only four points behind Barca at the time, with 4 games left to play afterwards, a draw would have been plenty as Barca had European commitments unlike Real. Barca's last four games in la Liga draw, loss, loss, draw two points out of 12. Real lost all of their last four and you want to put it down to having to chase a win.

Not sure what's worse the above comments or claiming the Galatico period as a success.
As a kid Real was a side to respect up until 1990. Since then they're just a side to laugh at. Coaches, players, presidents come and go quicker than flu epidemics. Last year it was all Huntelaar, Sneijder, Van der Vaart, then it's sell them all after a year and buy Ibra, Kaka, Ronaldo etc.
Only good thing about Real these days is they make Moratti of the 90's look half decent.

Yeh and no one seems to remember that we had a period where we won 17 out of 18 games and we drew that other game. The Galactico period was a success, we won 2 Champions League trophies because of it did we not and a few league titles along the way, what an idiot...haha looool the comparison with Inter is delicious....come on man lets face it....if there's a hasbeen in world football....Inter is that....yeh you win league titles.....but as far as Champions League contenders....

OFFICIAL: KAKA JOINS REAL Monday 8 June, 2009
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is now official – Milan star Kaka has agreed a move to Real Madrid, breaking the world transfer record for a reported £65m.
One of the transfer sagas of the summer has come to an end after the player confirmed his decision in a Press conference in Brazil.
“From next season Kaka will play for Real Madrid,” read an official statement that appeared on the Milan website at 23.30 UK time on Monday night.
“AC Milan thank the man and the great champion for his decisive contribution to the many victories earned in six years of Rossoneri effort.
“The technical loss, albeit grave, can be overcome. It will however be very difficult to fill the void left by the man Kaka, a great example of hard work and professionalism.
“AC Milan, interpreting the voices of the directors, players and supporters, send him the most cordial and affectionate best wishes for the future of his sporting career.”
Real Madrid sent their doctor out to perform a medical on the player in the Selecao training camp, where Kaka is staying for World Cup qualifiers.
The Ballon d’Or winner had turned down a move to Manchester United said to be worth £100m in January, but was convinced by Real Madrid.
Milan confirmed they needed to sell their main star to balance the books after losing £60m this season.
Kaka made his debut for the Rossoneri in a 2-0 win away to Ancona on September 1 2003, after transferring from San Paolo for around £5m.
With Milan he has won a Scudetto, Champions League, European Super Cup, Italian Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup along with the Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year award.

Perez became president in 2000 on the promise of signing Figo and the Galactico period starts. Figo leaves at the end of 2006 season and with Perez resigning in Feb 2006 galactico period comes to an end. During that time only one CL trophy is won and two la liga titles.Madridista612 wrote:Yeh and no one seems to remember that we had a period where we won 17 out of 18 games and we drew that other game. Real won one more liga title than I thought but still less than a so called fan claims they won over the period unless you count the ones you may have won on play station.
Lack of respect paid to Makelele, Cambiasso and defenders in general was the biggest flaw in the concept. Meanwhile Chelsea with Makelele and Inter with Cambiasso start winning titles after long droughts.
I only compared Inter's dark days under Moratti to Real, as I'd rather follow my local amateur side than the circus in Madrid.
Congrats on Kaka, hopefully you buy Ibra, Ronaldo & Messi as well.

well the 'super being' has done it again. hala madrid!!!
"We want to take [Cristiano] Ronaldo to Real Madrid also, but first we must speak to Manchester United.
"The most important thing is that we maintain a good relationship with Manchester United."
Finally, the construction supremo added Zlatan Ibrahimovic's name of potential targets for Los Merengues, but was quick to add that it is not feasible to sign all the players that the club are linked with.
He concluded, "[Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and [Cristiano] Ronaldo are among the best players in the world, but it is impossible to take them all to Madrid."

I wonder if when he takes his shirt off after a goal for Real it will say "I BELONG TO JUDAS now instead of Jesus.
Milan could have kept him, they had that right, but they asked him if he wanted to go and he said yes.
Not bad for a bloke that pledged loyalty to the club. Judas.
I cant wait for the riots to start in Milan.

I think in the end Ribery will go to Real instead of Ronaldo.
Anyway you'd hope so considering Ribery isn't interested in leaving for England ( or so he says, money has a funny way of changing people's minds though).

Re: KAKA to REAL MADRID
Cambiasso for me is an overrated version of Gago, was happy to see the back of him and still am, even for Inter he should always be one of those bench players that is just there to give depth and be an understudy...there would not be space for him at Real Madrid at the moment. Makelele I was sad to see go, but we have Lass now so it's ok. I counted the 99/00 CL Title because at that stage we had a pretty gun squad with players that frequented the podiums of the Balon D'or and FIFA World Player award ceremonies (notably Raul and Roberto Carlos) and seeing as AS came up with the term I think it's applicable, it's a lot more than just those 6 years, many people (or at least 1 particular article I read) referred to the 1950's Real Madrid as "The Original Galacticos"Translator wrote:Perez became president in 2000 on the promise of signing Figo and the Galactico period starts. Galactico: Player who frequents the podiums of the Balon D'or and FIFA World Player of the Year. (Often mistaken that a player has to have won a Balon D'or to be a Galactico...not true as Beckham was also considered a Galactico)
Ibrahimovic would be ok but there's better strikers out there, Villa for example.
Ronaldo we will probably sign
Messi is too expensive
Also in response to Litmanen, Florentino seems hellbent on bringing Ronaldo to Real Madrid, he also stated interest in Ribery, so maybe we'll get both, according to Marca if both came Ribery would play on the right whilst Ronaldo would play as a striker...blegh but anyway wouldn't be too bad

I'd believe Kaka over Berlusconi.Scudetto8687 wrote:I wonder if when he takes his shirt off after a goal for Real it will say "I BELONG TO JUDAS now instead of Jesus.

Berlusconi is a media king and a politican, he's full of spin. If he wanted to keep Kaka he would have but the money on offer in the current climate was too good to pass up on.
Question now is what do Milan do with the money. They seem to be talking Ronaldinho and their debt levels (which are mild compare to a lot of other clubs) up a lot. At the moment I'm guessing Berlusconi is planning to pocket the money.
No Maldini, Ancelotti or Kaka next year. They already gifted Gourcuff away as the sign on fee Bordeaux had was worth a lot less than what he's worth after the past season under Blanc. Shevchenko never regained his old self and seems destined to go back to Chelsea. Even Parma seem like holding onto Paloschi. I'm not aware of any notable inclusions so far for next season.
An interesting summer coming up for Milan.

Just a sign of the times, most people don't talk about Xavi or Iniesta at Barca, probably guess that 50% of the people wearing Barca tops don't even know who they are.Juventino wrote:Cambiasso is a brilliant player, even if he does play for the scum.
Centre mids and defenders just don't get the recognition they deserve.
Worst show I've seen was Brazil in 2006 trying to play Kaka, Ronaldo, Adriano & Ronaldinho in the same line up.

Madridista, you are absolutely delusional if you think Lassana Diarra is better than Cambiasso, but thats your opinion.
Translator, kaka could have stayed, but money talks - he demanded an 11.5 million Euro sign on, his Father demanded 11.5 Euro as an agent fee also.
Remember, he is a Christian Evangelist and 10% of his wage has to go to the church so I wonder how much of that played on his mind.
If I was a Milan fan I would be absolutely filthy on him.
Wait till Caramelas gets back on this thread!!!!
