Vista finished their chances in a poor game as a neutral. Was very surprised at the size of the crowd, thought there would have been a lot more supporters. Ref Steve Gregan was once again comical, as some of the decisions were bizzare to say the least! He should think about giving it up because he wasnt up with play at any stage.

would have to agree, poor game to watch, Vista took chances well, especially the 3rd.
Referee was poor, he gave a free kick up the field for decent, i didn't realise we played
the 50 metre penalty rule.
Yes if he was going to go back for that, give the card and resume play with drop ball wher ehe stopped it. Reserves game was very tight, we almost let it slip late on. Look forward to the return leg.

couldn't believe that one, no wonder the ref had a smile on his face when he booked him, at least he was equally poor for both sides.

After a lot of speculation about where on earth the El Salvadorians play and whether they would forfeit etc. etc. I rocked up to Gepps Cross Girls High school and suprisingly it was business as usual.

The Para B's obviously had a day out. A comment from one of the elder statesmen in the ES team, who is still running around and at times looked like their most dangerous and creative player, summed it up pretty well when he mentioned that Munno Para are a proper team. There didn't really seem to be any 'hopeless' players on the park for ES, but it did look as though they had almost never played together before.

The A's was a much closer contest. As I have learnt over the years, El Salvador generally are a totally different team away than they are at home. Whilst Munno Para certainly enjoyed a larger slice of possesion and a large percent of the game was played in El Salvadors half, they certainly didn't make it easy for Para. It was a very competitive game and this team may be sitting on the bottom but I suspect they will take a few points before the end of the year. Underestimate at your peril.

Well done to the the Munno Para Sunday C's who also got a 0-9 win against Adelaide Villa (away).
I think we both forgot to mention that Adelaide Villa's Saturday C team beat Munno Para 8-2!!

If the ball was in play then free kick should have been given where the dissent occurred and not where the ball was. Personally though, it would have to have been pretty bad for me to have stopped the game. So bad, I would suggest the red would be coming out of my pocket and not the yellow. Allow the game to flow and caution the bloke, the next time the ball was out of play.

On the other side, if the dissenting players team had the ball and were on the attack, what better way to show you won't accept it than getting his own players to have a go at him as well as getting booked after you bring play back and give the ball to the opposition.

Oh and add in

Well done. Wasn't an omission on purpose, I don't usually post the Saturday teams results as I don't always hear them and I never know who they played.

Thank god vista got their first 3 points on the board.. With all 3 teams winning today for a odd change!

A's 3-0
B's 3-2
Coffin Dodgers 4-3 (After being 3-1 down so i heard!)

Great effort by the first team to get up. as said previously chances were taken well. Credit to the players and coaching staff for holding tough through this tough time. Im sure there will be many more wins along the way now. Good to hear the song being sung nice and loud like it hasnt been sung for years... mind you it does feel that way :D

Well said Lad! Great effort by all involved with Vista through the tough times. First competitive win since about round 16 last year. Now the ball is rolling hopefully plenty more wins along the way.

I heard 3 all.

Only going on hear say but I heard that Gardens got a penalty to make it 3 all and the Pontians players surrounded the ref. The referee felt they had no control and no choice but to walk of the pitch.

Anyone who was there care to enlighten us a bit more?

Don't agree what was said about the ref, i think he was firm with his decisions, yes there were some strange ones, especially the dive but nothing that could have turned the game, i thought he kept control of the game quite well and would be more than happy for him to ref every week. As for Vista, played as if we were still up against Inter and truely out played the Peckerheads!!!! Felt awesome to finally get that win we have been so close each and every week, we are not a bottom side and lets hope we continue this form. I think if you look back on the years, i don't know how many times Vista would have an average of more than 2 goals a game but it shows the attacking style we are playing, defensively its getting back to the old Vista which is gold!!!! Good work lads, sore as hell today
You go on the p*ss all day, you've ballooned out like the Pillsbury Doughboy!
You could go to jail for this! What sort of system am I going to play then? Three across the middle and one in bloody Pentonville? *Mike Basset*

The vista boys didnt score anymore yesterday than they have in the past few, going forward they were no different to how they have been this season. The difference today was at the back, vista played a solid strong take no prisioners style of defence....... it was good to see danny k get a clean sheet in which he deserved, but i think it was the back four that deserved it much much more. i honestly thought the referee controlled a game that could have very well spilled out of control, yes there were a few decisions that were questionable but at the end of the day he did a fantastic job and i would have him back at vista. all this said the crowd was slighty lack luster, or FUCK!N DISGRACEFUL in my opinion..... i do understand that the Farm played The Downs on the same day but seriously if the club is going to succeed more supporters are needed!!! 3 points is 3 points we move off the bottom and head for the top.

Well perhaps have a word with those players that played in the games before the A's game, who vanished before the A's kicked off.
The size of the crowd was poor, however those people that come out week in week out were there as normal.

Why would us playing Downs have anything to do with your crowd. I dont know to many that would alternate between watching Vista, Farm or Downs. I think it may have something more to do with Mothers Day.

Good Crowd at Downs V Farm. They would of had 300 or so and we probably got close to 100.
