I couldn't work that one out either.

A lot of wayward kicking in the beginning but Fremantle ran out comfortable winners last night. Can they do it in Melbourne next week? Hawkesy would have been pleased to note the commentator mentioning the crowd noise was so incredible that he thought he was at a game in England.

I think they can. The pressure is all on Hawthorn. If Freo come out and apply that pressure again then they could be in for a big day. Plus it'd be nice to see the non-vic team win

Gary Ablett 2013 Brownlow Medallist!! Well deserved, would have been a shame to see anyone else win it

Glad that bogan Swan didn't win it.

Would've been happy with a Ablett & Selwood tie.

Glad ablett won. He is an absolute champion. Selwood would have been a worthy winner but I am surprised swan polled so well. All he does is pick up the ball and kick it. Shows no skill/poise like pendles does who I thought would have polled better.

You obviously haven't seen enough of Swan play football if you think he is a kick and hope player. Would walk into 1st ruck of any AFL team.

what a humble guy Ablett was after the win, he really felt bad for his mate Joel.
Best comment of the night, whjen he said

" Lastly, I want to thank God, without him, I wouldnt be here"!!

was he referring to the almighty father in heaven, or his dad?

Can only assume his father to be more accurate. For a bloke who hates losing so much, where is his other god when it matters most, ie the team winning?

I only got a glimpse of it, but after Lord Demetriou arrived at the red carpet and was asked by the interviewer for his tip, he replied "Gary Ablett of Geelong". The interviewer had to correct the CEO and say "you mean the Suns".

Maybe Patrick Smith in "The Australian" is right that after 10 years or whatever as AFL CEO Andrew is past it.

ps, I take it this AFL b & f still won't be allowed to represent "Australia" in Ireland next month...

Heath Shaw and the Pies part ways, wonder where he will end up.

Lions appoint Justin Leppitch as their Senior Coach for 3 years, i would have thought after sacking Voss they would have appointed someone more experienced. i think they faaaaarked up here.

Crammery quits the Dons and is heading to the Bulldogs.

Any other news?

I hope Freo and the Hawks smash the living shiiiiit out of each other, i dont really care who wins coz i hate both teams.

Shane Mumford leaving Sydney to join Gazza up on the Gold Coast.

He's happy for it to be called Mumford & Suns.

Bomber, unlike urself, many christians pray to god to help them be at their best and in this case, play at their best.
Playing at ur best doesnt always mean, winning.
the suns are a very young side, and no doubt will be better in years to come and will push for finals and hopefully win the premiership.
Usually, the winners are the most deserving; one thing that Ablett is a strong believer in

If it makes him feel better, I say go for it.
I have to ask though, do all christians pray each morning, so that they can perform at their best, each and every day (be it at work, whatever)?

Paranoid much? :?

Genuine question, or for "convenience" sake something you'd prefer to dodge as it may illustrate a point you may struggle with?
