And I'm not from Paralowie.
JSL makes no sense. Teams should play in the competition aligned to their ability.
what is that based on? a win against White City who are one of the weakest JPL B sides?
Blue Eagles, Modbury & Cobras haven't won a game yet in U15 JPL A.
Paralowie would be competitive against them, IMHO.
Not to mention Campbelltown who should have been relegated last season for coming bottom.
you could go through 100's of permutations and make a case for a lot of teams. The truth is a lot of clubs don't take the cup seriously. I watched three games at Metrostars on Sunday. Metro U15 JPL vs Comets which was a really good competitive game. Metro U14 JPL vs Metro U14 JSL in which the JPL team took a 3-0 lead with the JSL scoring 2 late goals. Metro U15 JSL vs Sturt in which Sturt played with 10 men for some of the game and didnt look remotely interested. By the time I left Metro JSL were already 3-0 or 4-0 up. I'm basically saying that the cup weekend landed in the middle of holidays and the results across all age groups looked a bit odd.
Plenty of clubs take the cup seriously, especially Metro.
