With ManU selling Ronnie and Pool selling Alonso without really replacing them, and Arsenal guaranteed to win shiraz all, I really thought Chelsea would have won by 5-10 points. Just shows that the league is getting tighter.

Our coach was replaced though, I think that shouldn't be overlooked.

Looks like we lost to the team that's going to win it, two years in a row. Not a bad effort.

no shame in losing to them from 2 goals up though, quality attacking side

It's frustrating to read. Apparently it's not enough wnning the league title, almost set to win the FA Cup, set a new league goalscoring record, have your striker win the golden boot, your goalkeeper win the golden glove, have a midfielder hit the back of the new 22 times, win both home and away matches against United, Arsenal and Liverpool. Take out that pissweak of a trophy the Carling Cup and it's as close as you can get to having a perfect domestic season. Lucky for them that Pompey went into administration or Pool wouldn't have even made the Europa Cup.Jimbob wrote:Liverpool fans have got some cheek posting on this forum todayGerrard_8 wrote:Chelsea were best all season and deserved to win the title over man united.

That was only an issue if Pompey won the FA Cup. I don't think losing finalists qualify for Europe anymore. The place goes to the next best placed side in the league.Nice One Cyril wrote:Lucky for them that Pompey went into administration or Pool wouldn't have even made the Europa Cup.
Only in the Carling Cup I think. I'm pretty sure the losing FA Cup finalists (assuming the winners have already qualified) get the spot. But the FA may have changed it so you could be right.Teardrop Explodes wrote:That was only an issue if Pompey won the FA Cup. I don't think losing finalists qualify for Europe anymore.
