I posted this yesterday but it doesn't appear to have come through so will retype message. I agree with Gubs in that yesterday in the Gardens v toros game the ref was terrible. Gardens had numerous calls which went agains them and would have every reason to be annoyed. The game ended 3 - 2 to Gardens and they deserved the win, however there were two big decisions which could have turned the game which the ref was involved in.

First the Toros keeper dropped a shot and as all good forwards should do, the gardens girl followed up. What happened next is beyond disbelief. As the gardens girl got up and the toros keeper and a toros defender were still on the floor the gardens player came up from behind the toros keeper and hitter her and then pushed her down to the ground again. The ref was all of 6 metres away and did nothing. In most games that would have been a straight red and in the very least the ref would have produced a yellow and a please explain but no nothing.

The second decision came when toros made a run to get back in the game. After being two down toros scored, then within a few minutes were in attack again and scored again. All toros players celebrated and made their way back to their half. Then and only then did the ref blow and point for off side. The girl that scored was no way off side (after the game the ref claimed it was another girl who passed to the scorer). Toros again within a few minutes scored again so the score could have now been 3-2 instead it was 2-2. To gardens credit they went up and secured the win by scoring. How costly was this disallowed goal? Having conceeded three goals in a space of 10 minutes could have knocked the stuffing out but instead only conceeding two kept them in the game.

To me the attack on the goalkeeper was cowardly and uncalled for, yet at the end of the game the gardnes players were more concerned with a toros player not shaking their hands. I agree players should shake hands but i think their coach should be more concerned with players in all sense of the game 'king hitting' a player while they are not looking. Gutless by that player and that could have ruined a good game.

Interested to see how other clubs would have re-acted to this hit. I will state one thing the reason there may not of been more concern was the hit didn't appear to be too hard however a hit is a hit and she was lucky to still be playing.

I'm sure gardnes will have their view but I can assure you this is correct.

i am not too sure what game you were watching but i know i was on the pitch at the time and never once saw a 'King Hit' given to the Goal keeper but yes there was a small push - its pretty funny that the comments from the Goal Keeper havent been put on here.

As for gutless IMO that is uncalled for, as one particular player displayed BAD sportsmanship towards Parafield Gardens by not shaking our hands to congratulate us on a hard fought out win.

i see that the incident between a Gardens player and 3 toro defenders has not been posted yet but i will enlighten people on this - Gardens player took on 3 defenders and got taken down hard by all 3 defenders just before the box we never got anything for this.

well done to Toros and thanks for given us a good hard run.

I think you missed the comment

in all sense of the game 'king hitting' a player while they are not looking. Um the keeper was on the floor facing the pitch and the player came from behind. I think the girl who did this would have been lucky to only receive a verbal because therer was no need for the tap, push , hit was there? And this comment

I will state one thing the reason there may not of been more concern was the hit didn't appear to be too hard. So I already stated that it may not of been hard.

So both are accurate, Any hit, soft or hard is wrong. Reason some people could and probably would react differently to this. So why did the player push ouch tap the keeper. She was only gettign the ball she dropped there was no need for any 'afters' So I will state again it was wrong and cowardly.

I also did say that 'All' payers should shake hands did you miss this comment as well? Thats three comments you have missed then we put in the other comment you haven't stated

Gardens had numerous calls which went agains them and would have every reason to be annoyed. The game ended 3 - 2 to Gardens and they deserved the win. So again i think I am saying there were decisions that you should have got.

all in all I agree that it was a tough hard game, but and I state this again BUT there was no need for the whatever you want to call it to happen to the keeper she did nothing to deserve this and in most games that would of been a sending off plus all players should shake hands at the end of the game.

Hopefully this will clear your mind up that it was the doing that is of concern because the doing by this player was unsportman like exactly the same as not shaking hands.

ref's - hahahahahaha

metro - they are allowed to lose one game!!
i guess fulham and metro are like two peas in a pod - when they lose a game (or even 4!!) people start questioning EVERY little thing...
City are a good team - why not give them credit instead of saying that Metro are human!

I didn't mean any offense to anybody. And I didn't question any little thing... Not trying to take any credit away from City either.

Just saying that Metro for the first time looked like a human team (that can win and lose) and not like a super-power that can't ever lose like they looked so far. Until now they dominated every game and always won, and yes, they looked like they were well above everybody else...yesterday it was different that's all! As far as I know they dominated Fulham and Cumberland quite comprehensively, they have the most impressive line-up and seem set to win league and cup easily. Everybody on this forum and elsewhere seemed to agree that they are the team to beat. Now I guess they have to deliver.

we did keep a scoreless 2nd half!
and yes, we have scored 15 goals in the last 2 games... its a shame we've been conceding so many goals...

but on the upside, at least cumby are scoring goals this year! we struggled with that a bit last year!
