the guy taking photos behind the goals said he got pics of both... lol lucky Moggs, was a good game today, fairly even, both teams dominated parts of the game and a draw was a fair result in the end. Jets No 7, were you the first team number 7 or in the reserves? I was the centre back with number 21 in the first team.
yeah i was in the first team, should of really had a hat trick, what was with that slap in the face from your number 8?
your guy kept elbowing him in the kidney, so he slapped him
heard it was a little more than an elbow. And I think everyone heard the slap . Classic. It was a pretty solid sounding hit for a slap.
#7, did you get the first two?
The ressies was a great game for Uni, who were back to full strength. Should have scored more, considering the number of mis-kicks in the 6 yard box.
The firsts was a fair result, I thought. Last couple of years have served up crackers of games at your ground. Gets a little ooh-aah in the wet. Both teams had chances to walk away with the 3 points.
dave mogg hits the wing passes inside to dave mogg. dave mogg dummys turns beats 1 ..2 ..3 switches play to a fast moving dave mogg takes 1 touch whips the ball in the box and dave mogg is there to meet it with his head GOAL .........
What's going on there????
How on earth was that allowed to go ahead.
I heard a rumour that Tigers were treated like some of the other clubs in recent history with bad off-field behaviour (although in this case it was extreme) and suspended for a couple of weeks and then back in to it. It would be interesting to find out the ruling/thoughts from the disciplinary committee on this one, especially with the risk associated to the players, spectators, referee, officials, general public and don't forget the image of the sport. Maybe this is the ponit where club presidents go to the SAASL and start demanding some answers and even better some greater penalities formally put in place to address these incidents. The feeling I get from most people on these forums is that we can do without the trouble-makers and work harder towards improving the image of sport so it takes over the country...yes deep down I want to be a dictator...but seriously I think this goes back to past discussions on how to address problem clubs and people. Sometimes an example has to be set and too bad if it upsets a club and they lose out.

Edited: Heard a bit more about this since the original post.
However, a case serious as this really should have had the SAASL make an official statement so that everyone knows.

At a time when there are several clubs considering joining the FFSA Metro League next year, one would've thought they would've made the decision/process more transparent.
The SAASL should probably consider being more collaborative to keep all the current clubs involved and focussed on their progress within SAASL and not looking at other options. I don't know the details but I heard Pumas are dropping out of the Sunday league, does this mean they are going Saturday or that they are going metro or just disappearing? If this is a case of going metro you would hope the SAASL ask why and try to act on any concerns or issues as appropriate.

I beleive Pumas are going to saturday.
Are your facts correct? Reliable source Bodo?
The Vision of a Champion is someone who is bent over, drenched in sweat, and the point of exhaustion, when no one else is around!

I'm not 100% sure, but quite a few people have said it. Furthermore if the club is going to get relegated anyway perhaps moving to saturday and starting from the bottom is an easier decision to make than if you're up top winning things, although Adelaide Villa made that decision not so long ago.
Now the question is how many more teams are going to Saturday from Sunday as the Saturday divisions seem to growing while the Sunday divisions are getting less.
I moved from Sunday to Saturday a little while ago and must admit it makes my life so much easier with Sunday just free for anything.
Has anyone heard about any "new" clubs for 2009. There were some for 2008 so just curious if we're going to be getting some more...personally I hope so as they more clubs the bigger and better the competition overall.
So if Pumas get relegated and then go to Saturday league would 3 teams come up from Div 4 ?. But then, if Pumas stay up in Div 2 then go to Saturday 3 teams would come up from Div 3. Is that the way it works ?
A TEAM OF CHAMPIONS WILL NEVER BEAT A CHAMPION TEAM!

If Pumas relegated and move:
Two teams promoted division three to division two, three teams promoted from division four to division three.
If they are not relegated and move:
Three teams promoted from division three to division three, and three promoted from division four to division three.
As discussed in another thread, if teams move to the new FFSA amateur league then it could affect all divisions and see more promotions to keep numbers up. If, that is.
