Modbury Vista Vs Pontian Eagles

B's 2 - 1 to Pontians. Both goals were penalties with the first one being very soft considering it was outside the box.

A's 4 - 0 to Pontian. Deffinatly beaten by the better team today but did create some good chances in the first half. 2nd half was controlled by Pontians and it showed as the put 3 past us.

Experience told in the end, Vista had great chances in the 1st half
but did'nt put them away.

Sunday Div 3

A's San Marco 0 - Payneham Post tel 3

B's San Marco 3 - Payneham Post tel 1

San Marco had a player red carded in the first half for a last man hack in the box which also resulted in a Payneham penalty. They were already 1 goal down. The converted penalty made it 2. Payneham were 2-0 up at half time and won another penalty for handball in the second half. 3-0 final result.

Great effort by the lads today - gutsy effort.

Don't know what East are doing getting done 5-1 by Inter - doesn't every1 want to c Inter go down???

Did Easties just get outplayed or were there send offs???

B's

A's - Sthn Knights 1 Plympton 1
B's - Sthn Knights 4 Plympton 3

A's are fighting hard and the spirit of the boys has got us thru the last couple of weeks. Starting to show that we can match it at times with strong outfits in Div 2 but we have way too much ground to make up. It will not stop us giving 150% each remaining week tho. Knights are a solid organised team just didnt like our "never say die" approach.

Hosavac, dissapointing name calling buddy.. the ref said the reason for penalty was your keeper holding, then made us retake it as your players had encroached.. this obviously didnt sit well with your player(even though you were 3-0 up) so he decides he has to assault the ref only to get the red(might be a long time out of the game for him)and i thought he was one of your best players. doesnt that make it SIX red cards in 3 games. game played in good spirits between the teams, croatians played good football and deserved it...poor name calling Hosavac or is that your level???

Sorry to hear about that. Had the exact same thing happen to me many years ago. It was state league against Elizabeth but the game still went on and the guy didn't even get a card.

Robin, 2 penalties and a rebound with the keeper on the ground all missed...I apologise, he's "unlucky". Will "unlucky" continue to take your penalties after today?

Don't take the name calling to heart mate - if I'd have done that I'd call myself alot worse names.

Encroachment my ass. Ref wants to be a smart ass and hero in the amateur league. Every week the past month they are consistent with one thing...1 set of rules for us, another for the opposition. Eg today, our guy called for offside puts the ball in the back of the net he can't wait to pull out the yellow. Your guy does the same thing, no yellow.

3 weeks ago the first 15 minutes Raptors come out hacking...fine, we hit one bad tackle back straight red to our guy. Fair? Yeaaah right whatever.

Don't even talk about the ref in the Pontians match - a bigger cheat I have never and will never see in my life. Poor discipline yes...but even worse refereeing. cabernet happens.

Not condoning what happened today, he should and I'm sure he will cop a hefty suspension. Frustration got the better of him, but when the refs keep pulling the same crap each week against us you wonder why players lose it and do stupid things to get sent off.

Saying that, I thought the ref had an OK game today up until the penalty fiasco...penalty yes, takes it and misses goal kick. Had his chance, cabernet his pants play on and no problems or red cards. But naaa, he has to pull a decision out of his clacker. Should have made "unlucky" take it again I reckon. Hat-trick of penalty misses in 3 minutes...I'd like to see that!

I was surprised at how bad your boys were today. Quite a young side on the park, have you got a few players missing?

Where you at the game robbo?

It was a good game, up and down. Djoko took his chances well. Cracking goal for his third, on a tight angle and on his wrong foot.

You guys had two 1-1 chances when you were 2-1 up. If you'd scored, it probably would have burried the game. Even though it felt like we lost three points, I thought a draw was a fair result.

JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE WINNING THE LEAGUE FOR THE DOWNS. WHO IS THE UN FORTINATE TEAM THAT THEY WILL PLAY IN ORDER TO DO THAT. THE DOWNS MUST BE AT FULL STRENGTH AT THE MOMENT TO BE TRAVELLING SO WELL. GO THE DOWNS ,THE TIDES HAVE TURNED IN FAVOUR OF THE DOWNS.

are you serious????

is this the game when zelko substituted himself because the ref warned him he was one tackle away from being sent off??? was that before or after radic got a straight red for a two footed tackle on one of our players??? that must have been before the guy who had a mowhoawk earlier in the year (i think) came on with the express purpose of either injuring us or getting one of us to retaliate.

nothing personal against your boys, as we've always enjoyed playing you without any hassles but dont talk Barossa Pearl.
