BOSA vs Modbury

As 1-1 any chance of championship probably over.
Bs 4-1 still in with a good chance of championship.
Cs postponed

Not a very enjoyable day with the As drawing and a very uncomfortable animosity between both clubs. A round I am happy to see behind us.

Sat Prem

A: Vipers FC 3 Wanderers 6
B: Vipers FC 3 Wanderers 1
C1: Vipers FC 2 Hahndorf 1
C2: bye

Scorers (A): Gelastopoulos, Jaric, Skoumbros

Still adamant I only counted 5, not 6, but irrelevant in the end. The ref, whilst good, cost us with a few decisions. Our defender who copped the elbow in the head causing him to wear Ince-like headgear due to a deep cut was not happy that the Wanderers player only copped a yellow (very late challenge and after the ref saw the blood). The penalty was also harsh as the player kicked the ball away from goal to his right and ran into the stationary player to his left. Conversely, a handball in the box for them went unpunished.

ANYWAY - enough about the ref. 1-1 at half time, the Wanderers got 3 early goals in the 2nd half, effectively ending the tie. We pulled one back and pushed hard but our touch let us down in a few instances. Coming close in the end on a few occasions, we just didn't have the killer touch needed today. Makes it very hard, but with 3 left, we are looking at fighting hard to that final whistle.

Another multi-goal thriller between the two sides (after the 4-6 result in Rd 6).

Comfortable win considering the score...could have been 3 or 4 up at HT....Uni keeper had a blinder and kept them in it with no doubt......would say the second best keeper in the league behind Galey  Uni never really threatened and Villa in total control start to finish.
Just of interest in the league (Villa at home Played 7 Won 7 Scored 20 plus Conceded 1). Just goes to show the distance we travel to play on a decent pitch is all worth it...........Another great performance all round...love to stitch it up against Stirling next week.

You've overlooked the abandoned match Jack in your statistical analysis or did you count winning the fight

Hey Mr Football......firstly.....no one won the fight........and thankfully it mightn't cost anyone anything.....
And OK you guys managed to score and hold us to a 1-1 after 60 mins that day..........I'm sure I'd rather have that 1 point ahead of posting my intriguing statistic

Hawks A team lost to Iggies today. Congrats to Iggies on winning the title. They were definitely the better team on the day and all year. With our run for promotion now only a mathematical possibility, our only upside to the day was our ressies who came from a goal down to draw the game and remain on top of the table. A tough game for both A's & B's next week as we host Cougars who are battling to avoid relegation. On the relegation battle, I heard FC Adel beat Budapest 2-1. Things are tightening up

As for promotion, one would think that Comets would have to beat Iggies next week to have any hope of taking that second spot off All Stars.

First that I have heard. I heard some carry on as I was getting into my car but I thought that it was just the Modbury crowd continuing their adolescent behavior. They were getting under the skin of our players so it doesn't surprise me that something happened. The Modbury group brought 4 of their own cartons to the game and clearly had a skin full by the end of the day. I am glad that I didn't take my children this week. The bad weather saved them from witnessing the ugly side of amateur football.
