He has merely said it was his fault for letting in two goals which I agree.
Devils Advocate wrote: Remember it was him and not Aloisi that got us into the last WC. He saved 2 pens.
Bresciano scored the equalizer to cover his ass from scerwing up very similar to Cahill against Japan :clown:
Devils Advocate wrote: He is currently rated one of the best keepers in the EPL and has Arsenal chasing his signature. So I guess you are right. There is no justification for the "love in".
He is indeed rated one of the best behind:

1 - Petr Cech
2 - Pepe Reina
3 - Shay Given
4 - Edwin Van Der Sar
5 - Tim Howard
6 - Craig Gordon
7 - Jussi Jaskelainen
8 - Brad Friedel
9 - Mark Schwarzer
10 - David James

Seriously doubt Cech (post-injury), Given, Howard, Jaskelainen and Friedel would be ahead of him. For various reasons.

The highest percentage shot-stoppers until Christmas were van der Sar and Schwarzer...

According to the EPL itself he is ranked 8.

So we are both right. :-)

The only way we will get something out of this WC is if the players dig deep and show some resolve to shove it up him.
But then Pim will claim that he is the hero that turned Aust. fortunes around.

Bomber wrote:Pim should just throw caution to the wind and play more attacking as a 0-0 wont do it against Ghana. Sadly, he had several warm up games to play around with that, and was more intent on fiddling around with defence, defence, defence. Now when he has to chase a game, they appear lost. At least go down fighting!
Can't imagine why he was worried about the defence
