My question directly followed this....If this whole thread was made up about my question only then yes you would have a point.

Unfortunately for your arguement, my posts are joined by others which in turn develop into a discussion.

Sorry but you just wasted a crap load of time searching for links for an arguement that only exists in your mind.

Pretty sad really :( :( :( ......Get a hobby my POME friend

even if you don't want to admit that your question was answered perfectly by the first 2 clips, the 3rd is disallowed for exactly what you were "implying" but not saying.

Also, as I said the ultimate back up is the LAWS OF THE GAME!!

If I'm Honest after the first 2 clips I didn't watch the 3rd

You still concentrating on every word typed instead of the flow of the conversation????

Man you must be an asset around the boys at the pub while deep in conversation

Sorry mate but if you want to be a part of the discussion you have to follow it from the start.

I have an early flight tommorow but when I have time I will view your 3rd link....

If the bicycle kicked goal was dissalowed for dangerous play then I will duly appologise for being wrong.

Until then......Have fun :D

Well I watched the third link and it looks like there has been "a" dissalowed goal for dangerous play involving a bicycle kick.

Since you have the time can you find me the ratio of goals awarded to those disalowed(for dangerous play)....I still think there wouldn't be many.

If you had of posted that link and not the other 2 (which had no relevence to the discussion) we could have ended this last night.

I was wrong, apologies.

Very gracious..

Let me know how you go with that other task I asked for.

By tonight would be good, tommorow would be fine as well.

i think that would be an impossible task, because who knows how many have been disallowed. The bottom line is this is from the start I have said it would be harsh but justfied in the laws of the game.

Clearly I have proven that.

in round 1 i saw a vipers striker bicycle kick at goals and from where i was standing thought it was in. even though it can be spectacular to see it should be banned its just to dangerous.

I disagree. A bicycle kick is a skill that requires execution, just like any other technical part of the game.

However, when executed poorly (ie by kicking someone in the face), you should be prepared to suffer the consequences, whether or not it was an 'accident'.

The problem is when you do it you don't know what is behind you so i think it's dangerous regardless.

cmon kitch everyone knows a bicycle or scissor kick is a special skill that not everyone can do or even attempt.i used to try until one day my trailling leg slipped i flew up in the air and dropped like a stone landing flat on my back.pretty funny for everyone there except me.they soon hushed up i guess, when they realised i swallowed my tongue.thats the last bicycle kick i ever attempted.so its not always the defender getting hurt.i agree it has to be banned i mean were always seeing free kicks for a raised boot these days

I've had a couple of kicks to the face when a player has tried the overhead bicycle kick. As dangerous as it can be, if I didn't try to header in the first place I wouldn't have copped it. Whats a player to do? A defender needs to defend, a striker needs to score.

If I raise my boot when no-one is around, is it a free kick?

sometimes its a defender using bicycle kick to clear a ball

The difference is you can see what's in front of you and no-one behind you is going to get hurt, whereas a bicycle kick is just as likely going to hurt someone behind you and you don't know for sure if there is anyone there. If it's head height use you head.

Should be penalized as well. Celtic were awarded a penalty a few weeks back for this.

Completely agree.

The swindon captain was sent off in the 2nd leg of their play off v charlton for a raised boot that got the ball.

Ahhh well mate, I bet the beer was cold up there......Remembering when we played them in Div 3 it was the coldest place I have played in a long time  Only Hahndorf at Mylor last year beats it.
Nah wasn't that cold when we played thank god. Coldest place I reckon is Cove with the strong winds from the sea.

You guys have to be joking, that was an extremely biased game with the Ref clearly one sided making calls, especially the penalty he called from deep in your defending half. I was on the sideline and was closer and with a clearer view and that was a clear case of simulation.

As someone else has already mentioned, many of the squad look forward to the return leg, where pherhaps you will get a fairer and just result.

did he answer his mobile and chat to his mate whil reff'ing?
I think he was there coach, as at one point he stopped the game, and he made a change and asked a field player to swap with a bench player. What does that tell you about there club ref or coach, is that even allowed??

In fairness, we've played handorf, three times before, but got the young guy refing who was a good ref. I think he ref'd the game after us handorf div 3 vs Uni blk div 3.

Just the guy that coached/refed the handorf div 5 game, left a few people with a sour taste in there mouths.

When you say immaculate you mean more sand on the pitch then the beach then yeah still awesome. I know the Cove sporting complexing is getting upgraded so hopefully less sand :D
