Re: Chelsea Are Champions 09/10
Fully deserved by Chelsea - scored 103 goals for the season.
Carletto has proved to be the right choice, bit of a bump in Europe, but no shame in going out to an Inter side that might end up winning it.
Having said that, they will have to freshen the squad up, with players getting on in age, they migt be ok for another year, but Lampard 32, Drogba 32, Cole 30, Terry 30, Ballack 34, they might just have to start getting ready for the next few years.
The experience was invaluable for them though, you cant buy that.
Did all this without Essien for most of the season and Cole injured for 4 months plus the Terry scandal.
Well deserved.

what a bunch of champs we are
throw in the john terry scandal
essien out for most of the year
early exit of champions league
lose half the squad to african nations cup
and still come in with the title and possibly fa cup

Re: Chelsea Are Champions 09/10
Well deserved by Chelsea, they've had a very strong squad now for 5/6 years but have missed having the right manager in charge since the special one left.
United players and coaching staff can hold their heads up high. We took them to the last day and only lost it by one point. Not bad for a team who lost their only decent player in the off season!
I would also like to extend my congratulations to Liverpool on finishing in 7th spot. What a stellar season it's been on the red half of Merseyside.

Congratulations to a very resilient and free scoring Chelsea in a tough season given the Terry scandal and African Cup. Also Ancelotti showed class by managing it in his first season which is no mean feat.
Best picture of the day was seeing Gary Neville's face.
By the way Victor Moses's shot late on shows he is one to watch for the future.

Another team with two good quality strikers wins their league, Berbatov didn't do wnough to help Rooney this year however if you look at Man Uniteds young players that they have signed for the next few years they wont need to spend massive dollars on players to be successful

so what if they knew it. it was an obstacle none the less and they overcame it.

Essien, Cole and Bosingwa are all important, Lucky for us Hiddink Bought Zhirkov, and we have Ivanovic and Paulo Ferreira. Without Essien we really struggled through the middle of the season, but Ancelotti changed his system to A) back Mikel up more, and B) free up Lampard.
Excellent adaptive coaching.
