I am in full agreement of the first post, even if it just to stir people up

lets replay the 2002 world cup matches Spain v S Korea, Italy v S Korea

lets replay Inters 1998 match against Juventus etc...

I'm in favour of a full year ban where a player is judged (by video if necessary) to have deliberately dived to obtain a penalty, deliberately handballed to create or score a goal or feigned an injury to coerce a referee into producing a red or yellow card, taken performance enhancing drugs or "thrown" a result for a gambling outcome.
If a player commits one of these, apart from the last two offences, and immediately "fesses up to the referee" (giving the referee the opportunity to change his ruling) then only a red/yellow card should ensue.
If players knew these rules were in place I'm sure it would wipe these tactics out of the game almost overnight !
