Improvement at the Advertiser

There appears to have been a postive improvement in the coverage of the local game at the Adelaide Advertiser.

Val is doing a good job.

Is it that the Advertiser has put extra resources into covering local football or is it a change in the persons involved?

It's all about PROFESSIONALISM!

Val knows that he has to be professional and have something worthy of being printed available at a moment's notice, in case of space being available at the last minute, in addition to his alloted space.

And Val is VERY professional.

The more he produces the goods the more space he will be allotted and the more coverage we will get.

It is therefore vital that the clubs get their collective butts in order and provide him with useful and interesting information.

They got Nick Bianco to sponsor the local football page each week for the season.

Apparently there are a few people working there who are involved in local football who have made sure things happen.

The editor also thinks football is going to get more popular than ever so he wants to promote it more.

You know the best way to find out all this stuff is to ring them and have a chat like I did.

Why should Nick Bianco have to PAY MONEY to the Advertiser to put soccer stories in when I bet SANFL or AFL don't PAY FOR STORIES!

i agree, the standard of articles regarding football, and imparticular local football, have been of a reasonably high standard compared to previous articles which were very innaccurate and no more than 100 words in length
