I would think so.
Some boys play school football and juniors (or seniors if they're good enough) already.

No, highly illegal.

Maximum fine is $50,000 and maximum term of imprisonment is 2 years.

Of course this is for serious offenders who play for Catholic schools and the like.

When I was at school I alwasy played fopr our senior school team on the Saturday morning, then played B and A grade div 1 amatures on the Sunday. I think coz the 2 leauges do not compete and are not affiliated together is should be OK.
I think my drinking club has a soccer problem.....

You can play for a school team and an association team, i.e federation team or e&d team, but you cannot play for a fed team on a sunday and an e&d team on a saturday.

This is an archaic ruling and totally contradictory. I asked Frances Bedford MP, who passed it on to the State Minister of Sport, Hon Michael Wright MP, to explain the reason and benefits for this ruling. That was on 14 June 2007. I am still waiting for a reply.

Harry is it part of the E & D Constitution?

Mr Right, yes it is in the constitution. Bye-law 5 (a) (ii) No player registered with the E & D.J.S.A may register or play for any other Junior Soccer Association except in accordance with bye-law 5 (a) (iii).

Bye-law 5 (a) (iii) Players may be registered and play with a School Registered Association at the same time as being registered with the E. & D.J.S.A.

FFA Rule 4.9 Prohibition on Dual Registration is more or less the same.

Iknow it's not on subject but Harry Cripps. Had the pleasure of meeting the great man, had a beer in the directors box with him and Jimmy Constantine (that bloke could drink - he loved a brandy).

My dad has a huge photo of him at the gates of the Den in the all white kit in his office.

Harry,

Without reading the whole E & D constitution, that would suggest to me that you can't play for the E & D as well as say the Hills Junior Soccer Ass. Other Junior Soccer Associations in SA allow you to play for them on Saturday and a Federation club on Sunday.

Mr Right,

I have seen some other constitutions which do not have such bye-laws, but the football federation of australia does, and the football federation of south australia abides by ffa rules.

Even though associations such as the hills allow it, without an exemption from the ffa, basically its against the rules.

Last year my son played a few games for a federation club and played for an E & D club. I allowed this because I want what is best for my kids, and I chose to ignore this incredibly backward and pathetic rule. Unfortunately someone who felt that he should not be allowed to improve himself, grassed him up to both clubs.

We were given an ultimatum, and told to choose one association over the other. We chose the one that did not hand us a stroppy letter.

But don't worry too much, I am a Roman Catholic and they didn't incarcerate me.

Hawksey, as you know Harry Cripps is a folk hero at Millwall. I had the privelage to watch him many times when young. Probably the fattest, slowest player ever to make it as a pro, but he was a millwall player through and through.

Harry,
FFA Constitution wrote: Frequently asked questions in the FFA Constitution;
18. Can a player be registered for more than one club at any one time?

A. No dual registration is not permitted........except in the following circumstances:

If the player plays for a schools team which does not participate in a District Association/Zone or State/Territory Federation run competition i.e inter-schools competition;
Aren't the various Junior Soccer Associations teams classified as "Schools" teams, as opposed to Federation "Club" teams and the competition run by the individual Junior Soccer Associations, not the Federation?

Harry's gonna get ya, Harry's gonna get ya. One of the hardest men to ever play the game. Forget your ruddocks, mcmahon, keane. This bloke would eat them for breakfast.
